Agatha
‘Agatha’ is a classic name derived from the ancient Greek word meaning ‘good,’ which is a perfect description of our sweet girl, who is both classic and good. Agatha was on the shy side when she first came to Best Friends, but each day she is coming out of her shell and showing us her fun personality. She’ll come running to you for pets and any treats you may be hiding in your pocket. Agatha enjoys getting attention from people. She has a very sweet disposition and would be perfectly happy cuddling on the couch or just lying by your side on the floor accepting pets, hugs and kind words. She walks well on a leash and likes to take leisurely strolls. She also likes to sit on her bed outside and sun herself. Agatha was born in 2015. She has exceptional manners and has been considerate with her doggie roommate and all the other dogs she’s met at the Sanctuary. Agatha has a gentle, kind and calm demeanor and would thrive in a low-key home.
Arthur
Arthur is such a friendly, playful dog. His favorite thing to do is to play-wrestle with his doggie roommate. When they aren’t playing, they are cuddling, which is the sweetest thing to see. He’s also gotten along great with most dogs he’s met at the Sanctuary. He does not react to his neighbors on the other side of the fence or try to chase them. Arthur is very smart, and he has learned that when he sits, he gets good things like treats and cuddles, so sitting has become his go-to move even out on the trail. Arthur was born in 2017 and came from Louisiana. He was a little anxious when he first arrived at the Sanctuary and when he first walked on a trail at Dogtown, but he has adjusted well. At Dogtown, Arthur is working on basic training cues, manners, and tricks such as ‘spin,’ ‘paw,’ etc. He has heartworm and will need to complete treatment at the Sanctuary unless an adopter is willing to take this on at home. If you’re looking for a dog who is sweet and affectionate with people and does well with other dogs, Arthur would be a great addition to your household.
Selena
Looking for a low-maintenance dog? Selena loves people and is affectionate and friendly. Her caregivers at Dogtown say she’s easy to handle and doesn’t require a ton of physical exercise. Born in 2015, she came to the Sanctuary through local animal control. Although she’s lived with other dogs, she can be picky with her doggie friends, so she needs to work on her dog skills. Selena currently takes prescription medication for an old hind end injury. Since she’s so mellow and easygoing, she’d love nothing more than to go home and hang out with you.

Chance
Back in March, RSQ Dogs received a call about a terrible hoarding situation in California. 30 dogs had been living unattended in a motor home. To avoid euthanasia, RSQ took in 6 of these pups. Meet sweet Chance, a young pup is still skittish around people but his foster mom is able to hold him and he will eat from her hand. With patience and love, this dog can become your best friend and most loyal companion. A second chance for a normal life is all that Chance is asking for. A home with no small children would probably be best.
Ash
Ash is a 2-year-old Newfie who RSQ Dogs rescued from the Enterprise shelter. These gentle giants generally have sweet dispositions and get along well with others. This handsome boy is just looking for his furever home.

These two siblings will be ready to go to their new “foster to adopt” home in approximately 4 weeks. George is a male, has a little more white on his mouth, and Peppa, the female, is a bit more orange than her brother. Who wouldn’t want these sweet, purring kittens?

Tumbles is on the high end of medium. He can take a couple of steps at a time before tumbling on his side, but he manages to go from one end of the house to the other. He eats and drinks on his own. He is learning to use a litter box and a potty pad. Tumbles does not let his CH keep him down, he is a fun loving boy who doesn’t know he is different. Her adoption fee is $ 60.
Raider
Raider is very friendly with people and loves attention. He knows sit and shake and seems to be house trained. He is a very strong boy and would do best in a home with no small children (as he doesn’t realize how strong he is). He was an owner turn-in because he wasn’t getting along with his housemate, so he needs to be the only pet in the home. His adoption fee is $ 60.
Jade
Jade’s owner was moving and could not take her and her other house-cat Luna with her. Jade has/had beautiful silver-gray long hair. Fiona
Fiona is a lovely young dog, approximately 1-2 years of age. She loves to cuddle with people, plays well with friendly dogs and lost her home when she was abandoned when her folks moved away and left her with no food. Fiona and three of her puppies survived by eating the other animals that died from starvation. Five of her puppies did not survive. Though young and put through a very stressful situation with her puppies, she has done an excellent job and has remained loving and loyal to people. Her puppies are finding families that will love them forever and it’s time for Fiona to also find her ever after family. Her adoption fee is $125. They are now taking applications on her. To meet her, call (435) 773-5209.
Jade
Jade is one of the terrific adoptable dogs at That BAM Place in Hurricane, UT. You can see what a beautiful girl Jade is but she’s not just a pretty face–she knows “sit”, of course, but will listen and is keen to learn if there is a treat to be had. Jade is a young adult at approximately one-year-old. Jade knows how to use a dog door, loves to play with squeaky balls, enjoys chewing on hard bones, walks well on a leash and plays with their other dogs (large and small). BAM recently took Jade to the vet after she jumped off of something and limped. They found that she may have some arthritis in her elbow but short walks and regular play are still great exercises for her. BAM also learned there that she may have lived with cats previously as the clinic cat was practically rubbing on her with little more reaction than a sniff. If you are interested in Jade please text or call Julie at (435) 773-5209.
Oscar
Meet BAM’s handsome, adoptable Oscar!! We know. He doesn’t look poodle/springer but that’s what his DNA says. Oscar is the youngest 10 year old you’ll likely ever meet. He’s filled with seemingly boundless energy, he knows his basic commands, he gets along with other dogs and all of the people he’s had the opportunity to meet. Oscar was adopted 9 years ago and has had one family during that time. Unfortunately, they recently made a move that he was unable to make with them so he is looking for a forever family. Oscar has previously been given the opportunity to go on unaccompanied walkabouts. Because of this, he has developed the habit of going over the fence to roam. He comes with his own cable that could go in his yard but what he would like most is room to roam or a very secure yard for when he isn’t hanging out inside with his peeps. Oscar recently had a dental and a malignant tumor removed from his side which the vet believes was removed entirely. To adopt or learn more about Oscar, text or call Julie at (435) 773-5209.
Sabrina
After being hit by a car, little Sabrina spent 8 weeks in a cast while her bones healed. She’s 10 years old but loves to adventure by car, trail, or river. Snuggles are her favorite, but she’s not a couch potato. Sabrina lives with several big dogs and enjoys their company. Never once have they heard her bark. Sabrina would be great in any home but, even with her cast off, she will still need tender care until her bones are strong. Sabrina does require daily medication for an enlarged heart but nothing stops this little dog from living life to its fullest. They are still working on house training, but the process is slow due to her broken bones. Sabrina sleeps through the night without urinating and does not urinate on the carpet but will on tile. Her cast may be at fault, and now with it removed, she’ll be more agile and move more easily. To meet Sabrina or find out more about her, contact Andrea or A.J. at (612) 756-2374. Sabrina’s adoption fee is $100 and she is also eligible for their Seniors Helping Seniors Program.
Nellie
Nellie is an active 7-year-old basset/pit mix. She is good with other dogs (including her 3 foster sisters) and cats. She is house trained with a pet door, likes to cuddle and play tug of war. She’s a 3 ft tall counter surfer if not watched. Nellie is good on and off leash on her daily walks. She is a great walking/hiking companion and needs lots of chewable and squeaky toys. Nellie’s adoption fee is $125. To meet Nellie, contact David at (435) 862-2207.
