Her big green eyes are stunning. This girl deserves her own home and family. Stop in and meet Sophia and see for yourself how special she is. Her adoption fee is $85.
Avalon
Avalon is the purrfect lap cat. She is a 1-year-old girl looking for a loving home where she can be an only cat or with another cat who prefers to stick to themselves. But human love, human cuddles, and a human lap? She’s all about that! Her adoption fee is $85.

Raider
Raider is very friendly with people and loves attention. He knows sit and shake and seems to house trained. He is a very strong boy and would do best in a home with no small children (as he doesn’t realize how strong he is). He needs to be the only pet in the home. He is a volunteer favorite. His adoption fee is $60.
Ruby
Ruby’s owner moved and could not take her. She has had a sad life as she was adopted from a Utah shelter last year and is now back in a shelter through no fault of her own. She is approximately 8 years old and a gentle giant of a dog. She loves people but does not like other dogs so will need to be an only dog in the home. She knows basic commands and does great on a leash. She needs to have a yard where she can get plenty of exercise and a good diet where she can take off some unwanted pounds. She is such a sweet girl. Her adoption fee is $60.
Spike
The other dogs in the home Spike was in did not like him. He is a gentle boy who wants to be with people. Spike knows the command sit and is doing well on a leash and a ramp. He has beautiful golden eyes. He is a small-sized pittie. Spike will need a home with a secure yard, no small children, and no other dogs, please. His adoption fee is $60.
Peanut
Peanut is up for adoption! He is approximately 10 years old. He knows sit, loves the pool, and does well on a leash. He enjoys walks, but is not overly active. Peanut is a senior dog and would do best in a quiet home with no children, and he prefers women. He’s a sweet little guy that likes attention and to be brushed. His adoption fee is the Senior Special $30.
Meg
Meg’s family could no longer keep her. She is a quiet, shy girl, approximately 4 years old. She is easily handled, very sweet, and is talkative. Her adoption fee is $40.
Luna
Luna’s owner was moving and could not take her and her other house-cat Jade with her. Luna is approximately 2 years old and is friendly. She loves attention and although a little shy she warms up quickly and wants attention and petting. Her adoption fee is $40.

Rocky
Rocky is a handsome young dog, dark gray in color and approximately 3 years old. He’s very sweet and loving, and there is no place he’d rather be than in your lap. Although a bit cautious at first, he warms up quickly. He would be ok with older, respectful children but no toddlers, please. Rocky would do best in a home with another dog as he does have some separation anxiety. He knows some basic commands and enjoys trips to the dog park. He walks well on a leash and enjoys car rides. Rocky’s adoption fee is $125. To make an appointment to meet him, contact Phyllis at (435) 705-9227.
Harley
Harley is a sweet, loving, loyal young dog who gets along well with other dogs. He’s a “tweener” meaning he’s between a little dog and big dog and is the perfect size. He is good with older children but how he handles young children is unknown since they have none with whom to test him. BAM believes he would be fine with a child of any age as long as the child is respectful. He is housebroken using a doggy door, crate trained and likes to go for car rides. He still has that puppy energy and his worst habit seems to be jumping when he’s overly excited. His adoption fee is $125. To set a time to meet Harley please text or call Julie at (435) 773-5209.
Princess
Princess could have easily been named after an Egyptian pharaoh with her striking “eyeliner”. This young adult has a lot of life ahead of her and would love to find someone interested in continuing the basic obedience training she’s learning in foster care (she already knows “sit” and has mastered puppy dog eyes). She is a solid girl but not too tall and is as affectionate as she is smiley! Princess enjoys being around her people and will do best in a home without small children. Having another dog as a companion and playmate could be ideal. They aren’t completely sure what breed blend Princess is but did learn in their adoption center that she’s a skilled jumper though she hasn’t displayed the same when around baby gates in her foster home. Given her abilities, a person or family looking for a walking/hiking companion or with a tall-fenced yard for her to be outside off-leash would be best. Knowledge or experience with strong breeds would be a bonus for Princess. Contact Alison by text at (541) 936-1766 (or leave a voicemail for a call back) or email admin@becauseanimalsmatter.com if you would like to learn more or to schedule a meet and greet for you (and your dog).
Chewy
Have you been searching for a compact hiking and/or road trip buddy? Meet Chewy, an energetic 6-1/2-year-old Terrier/Schnauzer blend who loves to be ON THE GO with his favorite human(s) – either on foot or in the car! He is well behaved on a leash, with occasional lapses in judgment when cats or rabbits cross his path. He will “leave it” if you ask firmly and distract him with a treat. Speaking of treats, this little guy is extremely food motivated and has quickly mastered Sit, Down, Play Dead, Dance and Speak! Still working on Fetch and Drop It – thinks it’s more fun to make you chase him. Chewy wasn’t raised with other dogs but meets them politely and several trips to the dog park have shown him finally learning how to play with new friends. They think he would be happy living with another small dog(s). Enjoys greeting most adults. His foster mom only had him around children once and he seemed okay with them but would recommend respectful children for him only. Chewy will do best with at least one at-home human. He gets quite sad and anxious about being deserted if left alone. His preference is to share your bed but will sleep in his crate. If you know terriers, you already know he can display that true terrier stubbornness at times, but treats always help to sway him! To meet Chewy text or call Julie at (435) 773-5209. His adoption fee is $125.
Tucker
Tucker is an energetic, playful young dog who gets along with just about everyone. He will need guidance to learn all his manners but walks well on a leash and just wants to please his human. To meet Tucker or find out more about him please text or call Julie at (435) 773-5209.
