For three decades, the Intermountain Cup Racing Series has been at the heart of Utah’s mountain biking scene. What began in the mid-1990s as a small local race series has grown into one of the most respected and exhilarating competitions in the West, uniting riders of every level under one simple motto: where the spirit of mountain biking comes alive.
This season concludes in Southern Utah with the Red Rock Remix Season Finale, taking place Saturday, November 15, in St. George. The event offers a fresh take on a familiar favorite, featuring a redesigned course through Green Valley that promises both challenge and stunning scenery. Riders can expect sweeping views of Pine Valley as they navigate technical terrain, fast descents, and the kind of slickrock sections that make Utah a world-class mountain biking destination.

Earlier in November, endurance riders will take on the Gooseberry Epic on November 8, starting from the famous Gooseberry Mesa Trailhead. Known for its mix of stamina, skill, and jaw-dropping views, the Epic embodies the grit and beauty of riding Southern Utah’s most iconic terrain.
The Intermountain Cup, often affectionately called the I-Cup, welcomes both seasoned racers and first-time riders. Its mission goes beyond the competition—it’s about building a community of cyclists who share a passion for the sport, the outdoors, and the camaraderie of the trail. With divisions for youth, amateurs, and pros, the series creates space for everyone to ride, grow, and celebrate together.
Partnered with USA Cycling, the series gives riders access to exclusive race benefits, training resources, and gear discounts. First-time adult participants can even use the code INTROMEMB25 for a $50 annual USA Cycling license, which covers all ten I-Cup races throughout the season.

Behind the scenes, the event is powered by a dedicated team of organizers, volunteers, and sponsors. Owner Ryan Gurr, Event Director Margaret Gibson, and Business Development lead Curtis Spragg keep the wheels turning—literally and figuratively—ensuring every race delivers an unforgettable experience for participants and spectators alike.
For those who live for the rhythm of the trail, the Intermountain Cup represents more than a race series; it’s a community built on endurance, connection, and the joy of the ride.
