Grab your camp chairs and blankets—it’s movie night in Ivins! Every Friday evening in August, starting August 1 and running through August 22, the Ivins City Heritage Park baseball field transforms into an outdoor movie theater under the stars. These family-friendly film nights are totally free and begin around 8:30 PM—or whenever the desert sky gets dark enough.

Here’s the lineup of beloved family favorites you can look forward to:

August 1 – Brother Bear
This touching Disney animated film tells the story of a young man transformed into a bear as punishment for killing one. It’s a tale of empathy, growth, and learning to see through another’s eyes—literally.

August 8 – Moana
Set sail with Moana, a daring Polynesian teenager chosen by the ocean itself, as she voyages to save her island. With its catchy songs and powerful themes, it’s a modern Disney classic.

August 15 – Moana 2
Just released, the adventurous sequel to Moana dives deeper into island lore, new lands, and fresh challenges as Moana continues her journey of discovery and leadership. A must-see follow-up!

August 22 – Cinderella (2015)
This live-action reimagining of the Disney animated classic brings new heart and elegance to the rags-to-riches story. Come early this night for a special Children’s Entrepreneur Market, where young locals will showcase and sell their creative goods—more details on that coming soon!

As always, audience courtesy is a must. Please ensure that kids who aren’t watching the movie don’t run around and disrupt others. And while we all love our furry friends, please leave pets at home for this event.

A Little About Ivins
Ivins was originally settled in the 1920s by descendants of Swiss immigrants sent to farm what was then known as the Santa Clara Bench. Named in honor of LDS leader Anthony W. Ivins—who advocated for the area’s development and donated generously to the new community—the town grew around agriculture and strong pioneer roots. Today, Ivins is a scenic, fast-growing city known for its red rock beauty, trail systems, and proximity to Snow Canyon State Park.
