Jehovah’s Witnesses will be holding public conventions worldwide, highlighting the theme “Declare the Good News!”
One of the largest organizers of global conventions will once again draw thousands to St. George—a Three-day Program That Promises Only Good News!
Summer has arrived, and the Lambert family could be headed to a theme park, the beach, or even visiting grandparents for the weekend. Instead, Noah, Lauren, and their two children are eagerly anticipating a three-day convention with a few thousand people who will come to hear the exciting, good news!
“This isn’t just a convention for us; it’s a time to be together as a family with great friends, meet new friends, and be part of something that keeps us happy and hopeful,” said Noah of St. George, Utah. “It’s also a great way to enjoy a weekend in our fun city.”
One of the largest convention organizations in the world returns to the Dixie Convention Center in St. George, Utah, with a much-anticipated motivational program to comfort and encourage the public.
In a world where bad news endlessly streams on social media, TV, and radio, Jehovah’s Witnesses will present their 2024 “Declare the Good News!” convention series beginning the weekend of July 26- 28, 2024. The free, three-day live event is expected to draw more than 14,000 in total attendance to the city over the course of five weekends– fueling the city’s economy with local spending at stores, hotels, and restaurants.
“We love working with the Dixie Convention Center, city officials, and the amazing hotels,” said Ryan Amos, local spokesperson for Jehovah’s Witnesses. “These conventions give the boost we need to keep going and to have joy. We are really looking forward to this year’s program and also staying in this hospitable city.”
The “Declare the Good News!” convention will present Bible-based videos, discourses, and interviews on topics such as:
- Why Do We Need Good News?
- Use The Good News To Defeat Bad
- Why We Don’t Fear Bad
Saturday features a baptism of candidates from surrounding communities, while a two-part video series will captivate the audience on Friday and Saturday mornings. Prior to each convention, local congregations will engage in a campaign to invite community members to this free event.
Last year, nearly 13 million people attended more than 6,000 three-day conventions worldwide.
