The holiday season in St. George begins with one of the community’s most beloved traditions. The annual Kickoff to Christmas returns to Historic Town Square on December 1 at 6 PM, presented by the City of St. George in partnership with Cat Country 107.3 94.9 FM.
Families can look forward to an evening filled with festive cheer as Town Square comes to life with thousands of lights. The celebration begins with a community countdown to illuminate the park, creating a signature moment that has become a favorite way to welcome December.
Following the lighting, guests can enjoy choir performances from local youth and a visit from Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus, who will be available for photos throughout the evening. The St. George Carousel and St. George Children’s Museum will remain open until 8 PM, offering extra time for families to explore. Regular admission fees apply to both attractions.
Complimentary hot chocolate and cookies, provided by Hedgehog Electric, will be available while supplies last. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy the full lineup of festivities and secure convenient parking. Additional parking is available in the new City Hall parking garage located immediately west of City Hall at 61 S. Main Street.
The City of St. George hosts the Kickoff to Christmas each year as a way to bring the community together and celebrate the joy of the season. The event is free and open to all ages.
