Adult women from across the community are invited to gather for an evening of connection, laughter, and celebration at Ladies Night: A Masquerade Ball, taking place Friday, January 23, at the Kanab Center. Designed as a dress-up social evening, the event offers a chance to step away from daily routines and enjoy a night focused on fun, friendship, and community.
Ladies Night carries forward a legacy that began 25 years ago with the founding of the Kanab Women’s Forum. Established to provide women with opportunities to learn, connect, and improve their lives, the Forum hosted an annual event that included keynote speakers, luncheons, and workshops. Over the course of a quarter century, more than 4,000 women participated, 325 presenters shared their expertise, and 25 keynote speakers inspired attendees, creating a lasting impact on women throughout the region.
As schedules became increasingly busy and dedicating an entire Saturday to a conference-style event became less feasible for many, the Women’s Forum Board voted in Fall 2025 to officially conclude the annual forum. Remaining funds from the organization will be used to establish a scholarship for local women, with additional details expected in Spring 2026.
Inspired by the original mission of the Kanab Women’s Forum, several former board members chose to continue its spirit in a new way. Rather than a full-day program, Ladies Night was created as a single-evening gathering that allows women to laugh, play, dress up, and reconnect, while still benefiting the community.
“All of the proceeds from Ladies Night will support a local women’s scholarship, and we’re thrilled to continue benefiting women in this way,” said board member Elizabeth Davis.
Ladies Night: A Masquerade Ball offers a relaxed, festive atmosphere where women can celebrate one another and enjoy an evening rooted in the same sense of connection and encouragement that defined the Kanab Women’s Forum for decades.
