Red Cliff Gallery’s October exhibition, Light & Shadow, brings together more than 70 local artists and over 200 new works at 220 N. 200 E. in St. George. The show is free, all artwork is for sale, and the exhibit runs through November 6. Gallery hours are Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM, and Saturday, noon–4 PM. Textile artist Susan Christensen is the featured artist for this exhibition.
The October lineup extends beyond the gallery walls. On Saturday, October 11, Red Cliff hosts Art in the Courtyard and an Art Supply Swap Meet from 1–4 PM in the courtyard. Expect fine art, crafts, jewelry, cards, and prints by local artists, plus live music. It is an easy way to support makers, swap or buy materials, and find something special for home or gifting.
Nearby, Arrowhead Gallery (68 E. Tabernacle) spotlights featured artist Laura Keller for October. Keller is known for mosaic glass artwork. Arrowhead’s hours are Tuesday–Thursday, 11 AM–6 PM, and Friday–Saturday, 11 AM–8 PM.
The Art Guild is also activating the month with two community events at Red Cliff. On Thursday, October 2, Connect (sponsored by Utah Arts Alliance) invites new and emerging Utah artists, as well as established artists, to have work critiqued by host Colleen Gianatiempo from 6–8 PM. Voted winners will be exhibited at Red Cliff Gallery. Later in the month, the Guild’s member Meet + Mingle is set for Monday, October 20, 10:30 AM–noon, featuring a Procreate demonstration by Kari Frymier. Everyone is welcome, and refreshments will be served.
