Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, located just outside Kanab, Utah, close to Zion and Bryce National Parks, cares for about 1,600 animals on any given day and offers free visitor and volunteer experiences at every level. It’s the dogs, cats, horses, bunnies, pigs, goats, and more that attract visitors for the first time. But it’s the sense of community, the stunning ambiance, and the peaceful energy of the Sanctuary that keep people coming back.
On top of everything else they do, Best Friends Roadhouse and Mercantile offers 40 rooms and suites designed to accommodate both people and their furry friends comfortably.
At the Roadhouse, you’ll experience the warmth of Best Friend’s hospitality. You can enjoy a complimentary vegan continental breakfast, as well as take advantage of the on-site pet grooming facility, complimentary guest laundry, and dog park with a seasonal splash pad.

Since May of this year, through the end of October, guests can also enjoy yoga at 9 AM on Saturday mornings, live music on the Roadhouse stage at 6 PM on Saturday evenings, with stargazing and bonfires every night, and here is what you can enjoy in October.
Gentle Yoga: Saturdays at 9 AM – Join us for a 45-minute gentle yoga class for all levels and ages.
Trivia Night: October 13 at 6 PM
On Stage 6-8 PM:
October 14 – Mesozoic ~ full-tilt, guitar-heavy classic rock.
October 21 – Gundy and the Gurus ~ a bit rock, a bit Jazz, exploring new sonic territory.
October 28 – Fast Eddie Live ~ a mix of classic rock treasures and original songs.
Kitten Bingo: October 19 from 7-8 PM. Enjoy bingo night with the family and a roomful of adoptable kittens!
Piggy Paradise Pumpkin Party: October 21 from 1-3 PM. RSVP at bfas.org/piggyparty
