Live United LIVE Howard JonesAt Live United LIVE, Howard Jones, English singer-songwriter, is set to hit the stage.

Jones continues to tour, playing his music for fans all around the world. He just finished playing in Frankfurt, Germany on Oct. 2 as part of Germany’s reunification celebrations. Frankfurt is host to the main “citizens-fest” in Germany this year, which marks the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall and the reunification of Germany.

His arrival back to the United States has Jones hitting the road nearly immediately. He has a performance on Oct. 7 in Mill Valley, Calif. Napa will have him on Oct. 9. Then he hits the stage in St. George on Oct. 10 for Live United LIVE concert to benefit United Way. From here, he is off to Texas for a busy leg of touring through Houston, Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio.

Utah fans are extremely familiar with the music sensation affectionately referred to as HoJo. With gravity defying hair often imitated by others, Jones brought a new style all his own to the music scene. AllMusic identifies Jones as “one of the defining figures of mid-’80s synth pop.” He signed his record deal at age 28. When his first single, “New Song” reach number three on pop charts in England, his career exploded. Jones’s first album, “Human’s Lib,” entered the charts at the number one spot in the UK. Continued success with hits like “Hide and Seek,” “What is Love?” and “Pearl in The Shell” made Jones a multi-platinum-selling recording artist. “New Song” and “What is Love?” introduced Jones to U.S. Billboard charts with both reaching the top 30.

“Dream into Action” was Jones’ second multi-million selling studio album. The 1985 album containing “Things Can Only Get Better,” “Like to Get to Know You Well,” “Life in One Day,” and “Look Mama” reached number two on the U.K. charts and top ten in the U.S. The success of this album, which stayed on the U.S. charts for nearly a year, was Jones’ most commercially successful album and launched his popularity worldwide.

Over the past 30 years, Jones has released 10 albums and toured the world. Continued hits such as “No One is to Blame” and “Everlasting Love” combined with a large fan base had Jones filling large venues on nearly every continent. His love for making music has resulted in his writing and collaborating on a number of other songs used for film and even video games. Producing music led to his own record label. Jones is also a musical director for an international choir.
