Who doesn’t love classic cars dressed in seven coats of wax? And even better, what desert lover doesn’t get excited at classic cars shimmering in Mesquite’s desert sunshine like medallions of polished eye candy to boot?
I think we can all agree, we love the sound of a super charged engine combined with a flash of fire and smoke from burning high octane gasoline. Not to mention, the intoxicating smell of fresh paint or burn outs. For the past six years, all of Mesquite’s participating hotels and casinos have brought us the Mesquite Motor Mania to help us forget about our cold, wet winters and savor the sights and sounds of classic cars from all over the mountain states and Southern California.
This car show weekend is all about the cars and taking Mesquite back in time. To bring the sound to an era of great cars the CasaBlanca is proudly presenting the music of the Beach Boys in yet another one of CasaBlanca’s “In Its Entirety” album shows.
“In its Entirety” has been enormously successful at filling the house with tribute bands from all over the region. This year’s event is no exception featuring the “Kokomo” performing the album of “Beach Boys Endless Summer” in its entirety.
Released in 1974 and debuting at #1, with 155 weeks on the Billboard album chart, it became the group’s second chart-topping album in U.S. history. Favorites like “Surfer Girl,” “Be True to Your School,” “Little Deuce Coupe,” and so many more! What a great compliment to a car show that hosts some of the best vintage cars west of the Mississippi. Tickets are on sale now for the January 17th concert. For concert tickets visit: http://casablancaresort.com/entertainment/
The car show will take place in specific parking areas of the CasaBlanca Resort & Casino, Eureka Hotel & Casino, and Virgin River Hotel and Casino on January 16-18th 2015. It’s FREE to the public and includes: Fri/Sat Slow Drag and Burn Out competitions and the Roaring Engine demonstration is a real crowd pleaser; plus all the cars tour around Mesquite with open headers! The local Police will even get involved again this year with a souped up Mustang.
The event is put on by Las Vegas Cruisin Association, who also provide over 260 awards and $15,000 in cash and drawings. If you have a car you’d like to show off, it’s open to the public. Just go to www.mesquitecarshows.com to enter your car for only $60. Not limited to older classics. Just really nice cars!
