Full Tilt Boogie will release its debut album July 9 at Mike’s Tavern in Cedar City. The show will run from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. and will feature songs from their self-titled debut album. Admission is $5.
Full Tilt Boogie is a blues/Americana rock band from Cedar City comprising Steven Swift, Kyle Gower, Rhett Boswell, and Chuck Triplett. The band has been playing their brand of music around Cedar City since 2014. Swift says that as a young boy, he would run through the house, sliding around in his socks. His grandmother would call out, “Full Tilt Boogie!” which seemed to Swift like a fitting name for the group.
The band has been writing and recording for almost six months. The album was recorded in Swift and Triplett’s studio and mixed by Frank Stearns. They will be selling copies of their self-titled debut album, band t-shirts, stickers, and release posters created by Jeff Hansen using the ink letterpress method. The band dedicated the album to their long-time friend and mentor Tim Cretsinger.
Upon the release of their debut album, the band will give performances across Utah. For more information and show dates, go to fulltiltboogie.us.
