Orderville is turning 150, and the whole town is celebrating with a two-day “Rock-S’more” Sesquicentennial bash this Fourth of July weekend! From pioneer tributes to s’mores for the masses, this family-friendly celebration blends local history with classic holiday fun.

Festivities kick off Friday, July 4 with a hearty community breakfast and a parade themed “Our Heritage: Pioneers and Patriots.” Expect floats, flags, and frontier flair as the town honors its roots. After the parade, stick around for games, food vendors, a rodeo, and a fireworks show to close out the night with a bang.

Saturday, July 5 shifts into hands-on heritage mode with family activities including marble races, dino-themed “ice”-cavation, and rock demonstrations. United Order Interactive Booths will offer live pioneer craft demos—like quilting, blacksmithing, butter and cheese making, rag doll and rug crafting, leatherwork, and dried flower art. Food and prizes will be offered all day.

In the evening, it’s time for 150 s’mores, a “Rock Through the Ages” dance demo (with audience participation!), and the chance to pick up commemorative T-shirts, mugs, and memory books celebrating this once-in-a-generation milestone.
