February at Kolob Gallery blends color, craftsmanship, and community with the opening of Pretty in Pink, a month-long exhibition that brings a lighthearted and thoughtful start to Valentine’s season. An opening reception took place February 7 and the exhibition runs all month long, located inside the Art Center at 111 S. Main St. in St. George.
The exhibition features a curated selection of miniature paintings, many inspired by florals and themes of affection, making them approachable, giftable, and ideal for both new and seasoned collectors. The small scale encourages close viewing and personal connection, offering an alternative to traditional Valentine’s gifts that lasts long after February 14. While the exhibit runs throughout the month, many works are expected to sell quickly.
In addition to Pretty in Pink, Kolob Gallery highlights fiber artist Teri McHale as its Solo Artist for February. McHale, who has worked in textiles since 2003, is widely respected for her painted silk pieces and coiled fiber vessels. Her work often draws inspiration from natural forms and spiritual themes, blending technique with intuition.
McHale’s pieces have been juried into national and international exhibitions, and she was recently recognized as an “Artist of Utah” by the Southern Utah Museum of Art. Her solo feature adds depth and contrast to the gallery’s February offerings, balancing playful charm with refined craftsmanship.
Kolob Gallery is open Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 6 PM and continues to serve as an accessible space for discovering local and regional art within downtown St. George.
