Nationally, April is recognized as Child Abuse Prevention Month. Prevent Child Abuse Utah, Division of Child and Family Services and the Utah Association of Family Support Centers will join together at the State Capitol on April 7, 2015 at 2pm to recognize Child Abuse Prevention Month to raise awareness to child abuse.
Representatives from each organization will make comments and address the issue of child abuse in our state. Those in attendance will be invited to participate in planting a pinwheel garden. Pinwheels are the national symbol for child abuse prevention representing the bright, happy childhoods that every child deserves.
Everyone is invited to attend, both children and adults, and join us and show support for the prevention of child abuse. Meet us on the south steps of the Utah State Capitol at 2pm as we raise awareness about protecting Utah children from abuse. All children deserve healthy, happy and full lives.
