Red Hills Animal Hospital opens second hospital
By Sadie Peterson
Red Hills Animal Hospital announced the opening of its second hospital, Desert Hills Animal Hospital. The new Desert Hills location is convenient for those living in the Little Valley, Bloomington, Desert Hills, and Sun River areas. Desert Hills Animal Hospital officially opened its doors to clients Nov. 18. An open house will be held in January 2020.
To keep up with its growth and the opening of its second hospital, Red Hills welcomed Dr. Mark Robison to its practice. Robison, a St. George native, graduated from Washington State University in 2016 and started his career in the Washington, D.C. area where he specialized in preventive medicine.
“I am excited to return home to sunny St. George to continue to learn and grow, working with an all-star team of experienced and compassionate doctors and nurses and the advanced therapies they offer,” said Robison. “I look forward to sharing my passion for preventive medicine, improving the human-animal bond, and making sure our clients understand the ‘why’ of our recommendations.”
In the past few years, Red Hills has offered services and technological advances that are often only found in larger cities such as Las Vegas or Salt Lake City. With these technological advances available in-house, it has seen a significant decrease in how many patients it has to refer out of the area for diagnostic testing and treatments.
“Because of the new technological advancements we can now do things in ways that are non-invasive, or less invasive than they used to be,” said Dr. Kade Farnsworth, medical director of Desert Hills Animal Hospital. “We get answers and can resolve issues more quickly with less pain, fewer complications, and faster recoveries. All of this means less stress for everyone and better outcomes.”
Desert Hills Animal Hospital will provide the same level of medical and surgical care that is being offered at Red Hills Animal Hospital, including wellness care, major emergencies, and critical care.
