Ride in Style Through Utah’s Most Stunning Backcountry with Adventure Tours of Kanab

If you’re looking for jaw-dropping red rock views, winding slot canyons, and a true insider’s experience of Southern Utah’s most breathtaking terrain, look no further than Adventure Tours of Kanab. Owned and operated by longtime local Bruce Speer, this small but mighty tour company delivers unforgettable backcountry adventures—with safety, comfort, and style leading the way.

Bruce’s journey to Kanab began in 2007, when he and his wife Jacquie moved from Seattle. After decades of handling search and rescue dogs, they hoped to retire and give back by volunteering at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. Bruce spent three years building their home, and by 2014, launched Adventure Tours of Kanab, combining his passion for the outdoors with the safety-first mindset he honed in rescue work since 1974.

“I am truly blessed to be able to share this gorgeous and unique landscape with all my guests,” Bruce says—and it shows. Whether guests are climbing into the rugged H2 Hummer or the sleek Tesla Cybertruck, they can count on Bruce to guide them safely through the stunning terrain of places like Vermilion Cliffs National Monument.

Adventure Tours of Kanab offers guided trips to some of the region’s most iconic and remote destinations. These include White Pocket, a swirling dreamscape of coral and white rock; South Coyote Buttes, Bruce’s personal favorite; and North Coyote Buttes, home to the world-famous Wave. Want to visit the Wave? Bruce and his team will enter the daily permit lottery for you. If you’re not selected, they’ll take you on a full-day alternative tour—no extra charge.
