Rock, Blues, and Family Fun: Concerts in the Park Return This Spring

April 14 at 7:30 PM

Looking to soak up warm Southern Utah nights while jamming out to local talent? The City of St. George has you covered with its annual Concert in the Park Series at Vernon Worthen Park. This free concert lineup, taking place on the second Monday of each month from April to September, offers an evening of toe-tapping tunes and laid-back community fun.

Things kick off April 14 at 7:30 PM with Closure, a dynamic rock band sure to get heads bobbing and feet moving. Expect classic riffs, energetic vocals, and plenty of surprises from this local favorite. Then, on May 12 at 7:30 PM, The Metropolis Man will heat up the night with their electrifying fusion of blues and rock. It’s the perfect excuse to break out the lawn chairs, spread a blanket on the grass, and indulge in a picnic under starry skies.

Families, friends, and neighbors gather each year at Vernon Worthen Park for the perfect blend of fresh air, good eats, and heartfelt performances. Even the kids won’t be able to resist the dance floor (also known as the park lawn)! With ample park seating or the option to bring your own blankets, chairs, and snacks, every spot is the best seat in the house.

The music doesn’t stop after May. Future shows include Back to the 90’s in June, Eric Dodge in July, and Catfish John in August. Rounding out the series is Wildwood Duo in September at Vernon Worthen Park, followed by a special UTU Summer POPS Concert on September 26 at Town Square.

This timeless St. George tradition continues to be free to the public, thanks to community sponsorships and the dedication of local volunteers. For more information, call 435-627-4510. Gather the gang, head to Vernon Worthen Park, and catch this year’s Concert in the Park Series—it’s music to everyone’s ears!
