Utah-based bluegrass band Ryan Shupe and The RubberBand will kick off an eight-city tour throughout Utah and southern Idaho Nov. 24–Dec. 13 with their high-energy live performances. They will perform at the Heritage Theater in Cedar City Nov. 29 at 7:30 p.m. and at Desert Hills High School in St. George Dec. 6 at 7:30 p.m. Having toured Utah extensively, Ryan and The RubberBand never fail to pack their shows.

Shupe has received praise from countless outlets, both for his recordings and his live shows. No Depression says of Shupe’s vocals, “Ryan is a commanding rock vocalist with superlative acrobatic pop vocal magic.” Paste Magazine calls Shupe’s music “infectious” and “extremely catchy.” MTV says, “Ryan’s unique style, which blends influences including rock, country, folk, and jazz, provided for a texture that evoked images of Dave Matthews Band gone bluegrass.” Charlie Cran, of The Strawberry Music Festival in California, calls Shupe and The Rubberband, “the surprise hit of the festival.”

Born and raised in Utah, Ryan Shupe and his band have toured Utah extensively, performing to packed amphitheaters in Provo, Ogden, Sandy, Layton, Richfield, and American Fork, among several other cities. Being a fifth-generation fiddler and an accomplished guitarist and mandolin player, Shupe has been touring the state as well as the U.S. extensively since he was 10 years old. Shupe and his band have made numerous local and national TV and radio appearances, including on Good Morning America, E! TV, Good Day Utah, Mountain Stage, Woodsongs, GAC, and CMT.

With Shupe as band leader, songwriter, and lead vocalist, the group has had a successful career spanning seven albums over the past two decades, including “Dream Big,” which was released via Capitol Records and was a Top 40 Hit on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart. Today, Ryan Shupe and The RubberBand are back by popular demand bringing their high energy and stellar musicianship to their home state.
