Sand Hollow Resort hosts Sky Fest
Sand Hollow Resort will host its inaugural Sky Fest Feb. 2–4. The weekend event will feature hot air balloons from throughout the west as well as live music and a variety of entertaining activities. There is no entrance fee, and guests at the resort can book a two-night stay and get the third night free using code “SKY2018.”
“We are excited to host Sky Fest and welcome balloon enthusiasts to our resort,” stated general manager Adam Jasperson. “The music and events are sure to make it a fun-filled weekend.”
The weekend kicks off Feb. 2 at 6:30 p.m. with live music and a glow party. The balloons will remain on the ground and light up at dusk for a spectacular view. On Feb. 3, the balloons will launch at 7 a.m. followed by a pancake breakfast benefiting Hurricane High School’s Grad Night.
The afternoon hours will feature a wide variety of air-related events and activities, including balloon rides, drone races, remote-control aircraft demos, and helicopters on display. Some fees may apply. Balloon rides can be booked through Palledin Balloon Excursions at (435) 632-0222.
“Sand Hollow Resort is one of Utah’s most scenic properties and will provide a spectacular backdrop for this hot air balloon event,” stated Robert Roche, co-owner of Sand Hollow Resort. “We look forward to opening our doors and welcoming balloon enthusiasts from across the country.”
