The town of Springdale, in cooperation with Zion National Park, will celebrate the 10th Annual Zion Canyon Earth Day in Springdale on Saturday, April 19. This annual event draws 1,000 or more visitors to help celebrate our beautiful home.
Live solar-powered music will be accompanied by art and food vendors as well as activities and demonstrations about alternative energy, native plants, solar ovens, environmental art and sustainable products. The Technology Trailer from Southern Utah University will demonstrate a variety of hands-on clean energy alternatives. Kids can participate in “Leave No Trace (LNT)” ethics taught by the LNT Traveling Trainers and a reading of Dr. Seuss’ “The Lorax.”
This event, including a silent auction and beer and wine garden, takes place on the lawn of the Bit & Spur Restaurant, 1212 Zion Park Blvd. in Springdale, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
