During the 24 hours from Monday night, Nov. 30, to Tuesday night, Dec. 1, Scott Helmer will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the most live concerts in 24 hours in multiple cities. Both Tuacahn Center for the Arts and Cedar City High School will host shows by Helmer on Tuesday, Dec. 1. As part of this attempt, Helmer is also raising money for Kostopulos Dream Foundation assisting people with special needs.

The current record for most live concerts in 24 hours is ten, set by Hunter Hayes in 2014. Helmer plans to beat that record with 12 concerts. Helmer will take the stage at 11:30 a.m. at Tuacahn for the sixth of the 12 concerts, with the seventh show at 1 p.m. at Cedar City High School. He will entertain the crowds with his upbeat set of rock and country favorites, along with original material from his new album, “Wake Me When It’s Over.” In addition, he will perform ten additional short concerts in California, Nevada, and Utah. Tickets to some of these events will be made free of charge.

Together with partner ABC 4 Utah, Helmer hopes to raise $1 million for Kostopulos Dream Foundation, home of Camp K in Salt Lake City, a nonprofit organization that has existed for more than 50 years to serve children and adults living with disabilities and special needs from around the world.

“I was originally going to break this record on the East Coast and use it as vehicle to help raise money for twelve different historic theatres and non-profit charities but decided to take it out west and make it all about Camp K,” said Helmer.

To date, Helmer’s tour has helped raise over $700,000 for worthy causes ranging from special needs children and adults to military veterans and their families, animal and pet charities, food banks, nonprofit theaters, and many more.
