…WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM WEDNESDAY TO 4 PM MST
THURSDAY…
* WHAT…Heavy snow expected. Plan on difficult travel conditions.
Tree branches could fall as well. Total snow accumulations of 4
to 8 inches, with locally greater amounts, are expected.
* WHERE…West Central Utah, Southwest Utah, Central Mountains
and Southern Mountains.
* WHEN…From 4 PM Wednesday to 4 PM MST Thursday.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Be prepared for road snow and significant
reductions in visibility at times, including travel along
Interstate 70 and Interstate 15 especially Fillmore to Cedar
City. Significant travel impacts are expected. Strong southwest
winds build tomorrow during the morning, switching to the north
and remaining gusty into Thursday.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…
A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected. If you must travel, keep an extra
flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an
emergency.
