Showcase Your Talents At This Year’s
Washington County Fair

– By James McFadden –

April 11-19, 2024

County fairs in Utah are an exciting tradition, bringing communities together for a mix of agriculture, entertainment, and classic fair fun. Held throughout the state, these fairs celebrate Utah’s rural heritage with livestock shows, rodeos, and 4-H competitions where young participants showcase their hard work in raising animals and crafting handmade goods.

Food is a major highlight, featuring deep-fried treats, fresh local produce, and classic fair food like funnel cakes and corn dogs. Midway attractions, including carnival rides and games, add excitement for families and thrill-seekers alike. Some fairs, like the Washington County Fair, also feature demolition derbies, truck pulls, and live music performances, offering entertainment for all ages.

Popular county fairs include the Utah County Fair in Spanish Fork, the Weber County Fair in Ogden, and the Cache County Fair in Logan. Each fair has unique attractions, from petting zoos to pie-eating contests, reflecting the local community’s character.

These events provide an opportunity for local residents to gather, celebrate, and support agriculture while creating lasting memories. County fairs offer a true taste of the state’s culture and charm, whether you’re there for the rodeo, food, entertainment, or the rides.

Our family always looks forward to the fair; it’s a time to explore new flavors, ride thrilling rides, peruse amazing exhibits, experience new adventures while hanging out with friends, and even make new ones.
