Levi
Stunning eyes and a stunning personality to match, Levi is smart, handsome, and loves his people. Not only has he mastered all of his basic commands studying at a prison-based training program, and he also passed his Canine Life and Social Skills Class with flying colors. This clever boy is always looking for a new game to play and has a little bit of a mischievous streak as well… just make sure you don’t leave your treat pouch unattended around him!
Levi is looking for a person who will take him on adventures and continue to teach him new tricks. In return, he promises to offer all his love and be a loyal friend.
CB
CB has a great heart and will jump through hoops to show you…yes she can literally jump through a hula hoop. CB is a sweet girl when she’s calm and collected. She has had a lot of training over the years here and has made tremendous progress.
CB loves belly rubs and playing with toys. She can also be great with other dogs as long as they can tolerate her rough play style. CB was a puppy when she arrived at the Sanctuary in 2010. She came from a rescue in Arizona. CB loves everyone, though she tends to be a bit exuberant with both people and dogs. When she gets over excited and becomes jumpy/mouthy, she has learned the verbal cue “down”. CB absolutely loves her crate and this can also be used as a training tool. While in her crate she enjoys either a Nylabone, frozen Kong, or an afternoon siesta. Could you be the right match for her?
Winter
Are you looking for a special adventure dog with lots of love to give? Meet Winter!
Winter came from a shelter in Los Angeles, where she was feeling very intimidated. Luckily, she trekked out to Best Friends here in Kanab, Utah, where her real personality has blossomed. She can act shy at first, but once she gets to know you with treats and a walk, she’s warm and inviting.
Winter does a happy wiggle dance whenever she sees her humans. As for dogs, she needs some time and a few meetups to make friends…but with the right dog she can become besties!
Winter adores long walks, hikes, and playing in the water. She’d enjoy an adults-only household with an experienced dog lover who likes actively working with their dogs on the daily.
Winter has a generous sponsor who will cover her adoption fee. Head on over to Best Friends today and meet her!
Alafair
Alafair is a sweet cat with a gorgeous coat. She loves rubbing against and hanging out with her feline friends, but she is less openly affectionate toward people. She’s shy but curious and loves playing with wand toys. She prefers that humans not touch her, but she may come out of her shell in a loving home with cat friends. Can you give this sweet girl the home she needs to grow?
Iris
Irisa is an inquisitive, playful girl. She has blossomed a great deal and has come out of her shell. She is a lot more confident and will now accept pets, especially if there are treats involved! Once she feels safe and secure in a home, her adorable personality will surely start to shine. Irisa loves other cats, and she would be happiest living with another feline. She will be a delightful addition to the family!
Ettie
Ettie is a petite and spunky young lady, and a talented acrobat! When you walk into the room, this sassy little girl is the first one there to greet you, hoping for attention and food. She’s playful and adventurous- she loves to climb on shoulders, go on stroller rides, and run around. She was born with Manx Syndrome and needs to have her bladder expressed twice daily, though she doesn’t let that stop her from enjoying the best life has to offer. We would be happy to teach you everything you need to know about her care. Will you consider taking this little firecracker home with you today?
RSQ
RSQ is a non-profit animal rescue in St. George, Utah. Our mission is to be a voice for the voiceless, bettering the lives of animals in Utah’s rural communities. All the animals in our care are fully vetted including spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchiped, and any medical care they may need before adoption. We are open for walk-in visitors on Thursdays, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. For more information on RSQ and our adoptable animals, please contact RSQ at (800) 897-1136 or visit rsqutah.org.
Katie
Ms. Katie is a beautiful chihuahua who came in with her new puppies. Her babies have found their forever homes, but Katie is still looking for hers! She is dog door/potty trained and doing great. She is friendly, gentle, quiet, and loves kisses. Very sweet girl looking for a loving home. She is in foster so schedule a meet and greet today!
Lincoln
Look at this little STUD! How is sweet Lincoln still at RSQ??? He came in with his 6 siblings after being abandoned on the side of the highway. He is feisty and fun and wants to be your best friend. He loves fetch and would have an amazing time with agility training. He is house-trained and would be good in a home with other dogs, children, or alone. Apply at rsqutah.org to meet Lincoln today!
Daisy
Daisy has been returned to RSQ as her previous owner was unable to care for her anymore. She is a very smart dog, and full of fun, but will need an experienced and committed handler to provide a loving forever home for her. She will need a home where she can be the only dog (no cats either) and one without small children. Once she gains your trust, Daisy becomes a very affectionate and loving dog. She rides great in the car and is house-trained. Going on a hike or walk is her favorite activity. Her adoption will come with a high-valued, paid-for training program that will help her learn to build relationships and set her up for success in her new home. The adoption is conditioned on her new owner agreeing to be part of this training process. Inquire with RSQ for more information on this great girl!
Toph
My name is Toph. I am looking for a calm and loving home. I prefer to have someone all to myself, but I can get along with others. I enjoy chin scratches and hanging out in sunny spots. I am brave, curious, independent, and friendly and I‘m house-trained. I can be a bit of a chatterbox. I hope you will come to see me!
Kermit
My name is Kermit, and I am the Robert Redford of Cat World. I love laps and head and cheek scratches. I also enjoy having my fur brushed. I can be entertaining but I also am entertained by watching people work. My jaw is degloved and the surgery didn’t work. All is good as I have no problems eating and drinking. My favorite thing about RSQ is that I am a favorite among the volunteers. Come meet me and see why!
Doreen
Doreen is the perfect cat companion. She likes to check you out before she deems you worthy of her adoration but once she does, she is a major cuddle bug that loves to sprawl out next to or on you. Any tv show is fine as long as she can lounge with you. She is not a complete couch potato kitty as she also loves to run around and pounce playfully on other kitties. Doreen loves to explore her now-safe surroundings. Per her request, she would love high perches with lots of sunlight. Another kitty friend would be nice with a slow introduction. This adorable young cat has made tremendous growth after being a semi-feral rescue. She has not been around dogs and would prefer a home with some chill adults.

Bella
Bella came to the shelter when her owner went into assisted living. She is adjusting well to all the changes in her life. She has never been around other animals but is interested in the other cats in the cat room. She is microchipped.
If you need a sweet and laid-back cat in your life, come visit Bella! She is very loving and loves to be petted or have her chin scratched. She loves people that understand that not every cat is going to be super outgoing all the time. She might not be the first kitty to scurry over to you when you walk into the room, but she’ll be the one to captivate your heart if you take the time to sit with her.
The nice thing about independent cats like Bella is that she won’t constantly pester you for attention and she’ll be just fine going off and playing with toys without being too needy! She’s the perfect mix of being affectionate and independent. She loves toys- wands, balls, and stuffed animals. She is a nice quiet lady. Her adoption fee is $40.
Felix
Felix came with his housemate Mima because her owner was too busy Felix is approx. 1.1/2 years old and a handsome gray/white large tiger cat with personality plus (once he gets to know you).
He is a very affectionate and sweet boy who loves being around his people. But, Felix is shy of new people at first so when you go visit him, sit patiently and let him come to you. Once he knows you, he is your best friend. He likes sitting on laps and being petted – he loves attention. Felix is a talkative boy and has a lot to say, and he is rather mellow for such a young boy.
He and his housemate cat may not have gotten along all the time so he may do well as only cat. His adoption fee is $40.
Samantha
13 months old Samantha is an independent cat that is looking for a home without a dog or cat as she has a very strong personality. This independent gal knows what she wants – a loving home where she can be the queen of the castle. Samantha enjoys getting attention but prefers when it’s on her terms. She will do best in a quiet home where she can be the star of the show. She will rub up on you affectionately. She will greet you at the door and tell you about her day and ask you about yours. She likes hanging out with you while you are doing your chores and she wants to know what you are doing. This fine lady needs someone with some patience, who will work with her and make her comfortable with her surroundings. Her adoption fee is $40.
Pye
Pye is a calm and quiet lady that asks for very little in life. Pye is very easygoing and will never pass up a nice chin rub or scratch behind the ears. Once you start giving this pretty girl attention, she will rub and head butt you asking for more. She would love to share her new home with respectful people of all ages. If you are looking for the purr-fect lady Pye may be just the one for you. She prefers to be an only pet and would prefer a quiet home where she will be allowed to adjust at her own pace. She is sweet, comes when called, likes to be carried like a baby, and is sure to be a wonderful friend. Her adoption fee is $40.

Sir Bacon
Hope you like playing ball because Sir Bacon LOVES, LOVES, LOVES to play ball. This beautiful, social boy could play all day. He’s good with the other dogs, a little afraid of cats, and probably great with kids.
Sir Bacon would make a great agility dog. Beware, however, he can and will jump! His adopter should have a high, secure fence to keep him safe.
Bacon has been neutered and microchipped and is up to date on his vaccinations. If you’re interested in Sir Bacon, submit a BAM Adoption Application and, if approved, we’ll contact you as soon as possible to arrange a meeting. If you don’t hear back within 7 days, please text us at 435-773-5209.
Paintbrush
Paintbrush is a stunning boy with the cutest splotchy nose and an infectious smile. We guess his age at a year or less. He’s quite social and enjoys a good game of catch.
Paintbrush is available LOCALLY ONLY as a foster-to-adopt. Once he has been neutered, the adoption can be completed and this beautiful boy will be all yours!
Greta
Greta was born approximately July 1. She’s good with other dogs, kids and cats too! She’s loving, sweet, and playful and wants all the attention for herself.
Greta is available LOCALLY ONLY as a foster to adopt. Once she has been spayed, the adoption can be completed and this cutie patootie will be all yours!
Ozzie
Ozzie is a sweet, playful girl who is ready for any adventure. At 3-1/2 years old, she has a lot of energy and loves to play. This girl can occupy herself alone outside but also loves to romp with kids and other dogs. She will always be happy to stop to give you kisses and follow you around admirably.
Ozzie does have a strong prey drive, however, so cats and chickens are not going to be safe with her. She’s an amazing dog that someone gave up on too soon. She is ready for a parent or family to give their love and time to her.
Diamond
Eight-year-old Diamond is a gentle girl who would give anything to be in an easy-going home with someone special who will take her on leisurely walks and activities and smother her with hugs! She adores sitting in the shady grass and just being loved on.
The poor girl was rescued from a kill shelter in California and, even though she’s safe now, she’s not a fan of being kenneled and would much prefer sitting on a couch with her humans all day watching soap operas.
Diamond enjoys the company of other dogs and will gently remind those that are too playful to be respectful of her age. She’s not a grumpy old lady though–if you ever want a laugh, just get a toy out and watch her play. She steals everyone’s hearts. She has lots of love in her and just needs someone to share it with.
Roxy
Roxy needs a playmate! This girl is so affectionate, full of life, and smart, smart, smart!!! She wants nothing more than get outside and play ball, tug, you name it–she just wants to play!
Unfortunately, life changes didn’t allow pretty Roxy to stay with her family and she has to be re-homed. She’s a wonderful girl (did we mention that she’s smart?) who needs someone with an active lifestyle and time to help develop her mind. She would probably be a great agility dog, frisbee fetcher, and/or running/hiking partner. And once she’s worn you out, she’ll snuggle up to you on the couch for cuddles and cookies. (Exercise and cookies- you can’t lose!) And can you imagine gazing into those gorgeous eyes every day?
