He has a little trouble understanding the cues of less friendly dogs, but that’s just because he is so dang friendly! He can’t fathom someone not liking him!  Morty is house-trained and would be good in a home with other dogs, cats, children or alone.

Kenny

Cashew

Meet this little Cashew. She is a young, Siamese and Dilute Calico mix. Cashew is quiet and affectionate.

She is house-trained and would be good in a home with other cats or alone.  Cashew is ready for her furever home.

Hal

Meet Hal! This shy stud is ready for a quiet home. He’s friendly, but timid and loves warm, soft places he can retreat to when ready for a break. Hal is in a foster home, apply to make arrangements to meet this cutie!

This is what his foster has to say about him. “Hal (Jalapeño) is as sweet as they come!!! He loves pets and will sit on my lap. However, if he sees that his brother Chili is afraid, then he takes cues from him and will shy away. Hal likes other cats and is gentle and shy around them. He is vocal especially with this sweet trilling noise. He seeks comfort and doesn’t like to be alone. He will play for hours with his wild brother and amazingly puts up with getting body slammed and tackled…but it is so sweet to just watch him quietly enjoying playing by himself.”

Jackie

Meet Jackie, a beautiful and affectionate cat who loves chin scratches and cuddles. Jackie will love curling up next to you almost as much as she loves wet food. Combine the two and you will be the one in for a treat.

Jackie is a well-tempered cat who would love to receive all of your attention but also does great with other cats.

Rip

Rip is a 4 years old and a bundle of energy. He loves his toys and being with people. He will keep himself entertained playing with toys and getting treats from the Kong but he prefers an audience while doing all this.

He will need a high secure yard or he will climb the fence and go looking for people to be with. He knows basic commands and is very intelligent and willing to learn.

Zoey

Zoey is a lovely shy girl who is shocked she ended up in the shelter. Her family had a baby and Zoey could not understand what was happening and who the stranger in the home was. She is just waiting for someone to come along and open their home to her.

Zoey traveled with her family and even spent time in Japan with them during a deployment. She is shy but warms up quickly and wants to be right beside you and snuggle.

Bubba

Bubba is 6 months old and has more energy than he knows what to do with. He plays and plays but needs someone who can teach him that jumping is not the correct behavior.

He knows sit and is willing to learn if someone has the time to teach him

Tiger

Tiger came to the shelter on September 22, 2024 by a lady who told us he was a stray. It was noted that Tiger had a tipped ear (meaning he had been trapped fixed and release at some point in time.

This was no feral cat who only wanted to be petted and purred constantly even though he was very ill. Tiger was very sick with severe eye and generalized infection. Tiger went to the doctor and was given 3 different medications. Tiger improved with the medication and care he received and was taken back to the vet for a recheck.

It was then that the veterinarians noted that Tiger had undergone a specialized surgery at sometime during his life which is usually done on male cats who have an issue with bladder stones. Without knowing Tiger’s history it is believed he had a Perineal urethrostomy (PU) which is a surgical procedure that can help male cats with recurrent bladder stones by widening their urethra and reducing the risk of future blockages .

Tiger has made a remarkable recovery and is now enjoying life at the shelter, getting all the attention he deserves, Playing with toys including stuffed mice, balls, wand toys and springs. He enjoys watching the birds out the window, will come when called and jump on your lap for attention and loves being brushed and he looks like he is smiling while being brushed around his head and face.

Tiger will need to be on a special diet and we are anticipating no other problems. He had an x-ray to be sure he does not have any bladder stones and is current on his rabies vaccination.

Tiger does not like dogs nor is he fond of the other cats in the room. He will do best in a home where he will be the only animal to get all the attention. We are unsure of his age and are estimating 4-5 years old.

Whoever had this cat must of loved him to spend thousands of dollars on the surgery. We don’t know how he ended up on the streets but he deserves a home of his own.

Jack

Jack is approximately 6 months old. He came to the shelter with his sister Diane. He is a beautiful gentle kitten but is very shy. He was neutered at a young age and ear-tipped but is not a feral cat and has lived inside.

He will need some time to adjust to a new home but is playing with toys and accepting pets and attention here at the shelter.

Diane

Diane is approximately 6 months old. She came to the shelter with her brother Jack. She was spayed and ear-tipped at a very young age but is not a feral kitten. She is just shy and unsure of what is happening in her life.

She likes being petted and is easily handled but will need time to adjust to a new home. She has been playing with toys and exploring the shelter.

Tiramisu and Ramen

Tiramisu
Ramen

Tiramisu and Ramen are 5 months old. Their owner could not keep them. They were raised at the shelter from 4 weeks and spent only about 2 months in a home when person decided he could not keep.

They are super friendly and loving. It would be nice it they could be adopted together but it is not a priority.

Princess and Gordo

Gordo’s and Princess’ owner passed away recently. Here’s what we know about these 2 incredibly sweet and bonded best friends:

Gordo appears to be about 6 years old and is likely a Maltese/mix. He is very sweet and gentle. Gordo can be quite shy initially and he looks for guidance from his bff Princess. He is potty-trained, sleeps great through the night and is wonderful with other dogs, cats and all humans. He is neutered, up to date with all his vaccines, and microchipped.

We think Princess is about the same age as Gordo; about 6 years old. She could be a mix of Dachshund/Corgi/? Princess is very friendly and sweet. She loves to be around people and her bff, Gordo. She is potty-trained, sleeps great through the night and is terrific with other dogs, cats and all humans. She is spayed, up to date with all her vaccines, and microchipped.

These 2 precious pups have been through enough. We would really love to adopt them together.

Jet

Jet is still looking for his fur-ever home. He’s been waiting for quite some time, but through it all this goofball just keeps wagging his tail and making friends with everyone he meets!

Jet is playful, handsome, smart, and will give you all of his love and then some! He is just about 1 year 9 months old and weighs around 60 pounds.

Jet is the perfect dog for an active, energetic person or family who will include him in all of their excursions. Loyal and oh-so-loving, Jet just wants to be part of a family who will love and cherish him always.

River

River is one of the three puppies some time ago that were found after their momma had been hit by a vehicle.

He has made excellent progress in his foster home but he still needs time trusting people. He is mostly hesitant about people reaching out to him, even though he does love to snuggle.

River is a sweet Chihuahua mix. He’s about six months old and weighs in at around 12 pounds.

This little cutie gets along very well with other dogs and cats and loves to play with them. He sleeps through the night in a crate and does well on leash when he goes on walks. He does need a little more work on house training and general puppy behavior.

River will do best in a home with another dog so he can continue to overcome his insecurities. He has so much love to give! He does great with kids of all ages.

Greer

Greer is a gorgeous 4 ½ -month-old kitten who is looking for his fur-ever home! It might take him a little bit to warm up, but once he is comfortable, he is a total cuddle bug! In addition, Greer loves to play with toys!

With those stunning eyes and his silky black fur, along with his playful, loving purr-sonality, this boy is absolutely purr-fect in every way.

Dolly

Dolly’s foster mom describes this little 2-month-old kitten as a “perfect, easy-going little love muffin.”

She goes on to say this about Dolly and her siblings: “As soon as they see their person they burst into loud purrs. You can hold them any which way, snuggle them, kiss them and tell them they are adorable and all the while they lay limp in your arms with their eyes closed purring up a storm. I have never seen such sweet, lovable little kitties. They have been raised with dogs and play well with them.”

Do not miss out on the chance to adopt Dolly or her siblings, Waylon and Willie. Please consider adopting 2 kittens because they do so great in pairs!

Tater

Tater is about 1-1/2. He has already been neutered, and microchipped, and is current on his vaccinations. He’s a wonderful boy who just wants love and security and will give it back to you in spades if given ½ a chance.

Tater needs some stability in his life. He’s been passed around from one home to another but no one has ever been a family to him. He’s a fun boy who likes to talk and play. He’s good with other dogs and adores his people. If you need someone to protect your family while being a total couch potato, he’s your boy.

Clyde

One-year-old Clyde is the perfect mid-size boy. He’s quiet, gentle, and loving; and little shy at first, but warms up quickly. He likes his toys, walks well on a leash, and gets along with other dogs… even the little ones. He was brought to us because he wasn’t playful enough and his heart was broken. You can just tell how much he wants to be loved. He’ll be perfect for someone who just wants a loving companion.

Clyde has already been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped so he’s move-in ready. Give this sweet boy a chance. You won’t be sorry.

Catalina

Ten-year-old Catalina is a total doll with a loving personality and she’s looking for a lap to call her own.

Catalina has been spayed, microchipped and fully vaccinated. She’s packed her bags and is ready to go.

Lucy

Six-year-old Lucy is a shy little girl with a disposition that’s sweet as sugar. Quiet and easy to care for, this snuggle bug is house-trained, knows how to use a doggie door, walks well on a leash and rides well in a car. Lucy is fine when left alone for a bit and gets super excited and playful when you return home.

Lucy has been spayed and microchipped and her vaccinations are up to date. She’s not a fan of men but does warm up to them in time. She would probably do best with a patient female owner who can help her with her confidence with gentle, positive reinforcement. She would do well in an apartment or small home.

Lucy is available LOCALLY ONLY as a foster to adopt. That means we will only be accepting applications from Washington County. Once Lucy has her teeth cleaned and has had a visit to the beauty parlor, her adoption can be finalized and this cute little sweet pea will be yours forever.

Jenga

What a happy girl pretty Jenga is but … she would be even happier with a home of her own.

Jenga is such a sweetheart. We’re guessing she’s approximately two years old. She loves to romp with the other dogs and adores kids, although she might get a bit too excited for little ones.

She is spayed, housebroken, microchipped, and up to date on her vaccinations.

Sadie

Sweet Sadie came to us so scared. She’s still shy but is gaining confidence and really coming out of her shell.

Sadie loves to play with other dogs. She would probably be good with cats and respectful children but she’ll need a patient family who is willing to love her on her terms until she feels comfortable. Once she trusts you, she will be your very best friend.

Sadie has been spayed, is house-trained, and is up to date on her vaccinations. She really is the nicest girl and adores being petted and loved on.
