Hairy
Hairy is a truly special senior guy. He loves his walks, golf cart rides, car rides and trips to the dog park at the sanctuary where he can wade through the pool. Hairy takes some time to get to know and for him to learn to trust new people, but this senior guy is definitely worth it and will make you laugh with his comedic antics. Hairy is searching for his forever home where he can hang out and nap on soft comfy beds and enjoy the sights with his people. If you think he could be a good match for your family, please contact Best Friends today!
Dalmon
Dalmon wants to be your best friend, he just doesn’t know it yet. It may take some relationship-building to win Dalmon over at first, but once you do he becomes one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet. He is looking for that amazing person or family who has a couch and some yummy treats to keep him happy and content for the rest of his days. When you first meet him you wouldn’t know the sweet, gentle goofball that lies behind his tough-guy exterior. Once you win him over you’ll discover an affectionate couch potato who just wants a person to give his affection to. Give him a chance and with little time and patience, you will be so happy with the great dog you come to know and love.
Woody
This Hurricane Harvey survivor is always extremely wiggly and happy. Woody enjoys attention and cuddling with his friends once he has time to bond with them. He loves to play with toys and enjoys learning new tricks through training. Swimming in the pool is his favorite summertime activity and in winter he loves romping through the snow. He has done well with dogs the same size or bigger than him at Dogtown, though he takes a bit to warm up to new dogs. He would love to meet any potential new dog housemates at the Sanctuary.
Moira
Moira is loving and curious. She likes to be petted but doesn’t like to be picked up. She loves other cats and is very playful. We estimate she was born in 2012; she came from a hoarding situation. She has medium length fur and doesn’t really like to be brushed. She may get used to it, or she might need professional grooming. Moira is a young girl who is ready to have a forever home. Moira is a Caturtle, also known as a shy cat who comes out of their shell in a home.
Nacho
Nacho loves baby food so much that he’ll crawl into his caregivers’ laps hoping for a treat! Considering his past, this is amazing progress. Nacho was one of the hundreds of cats who were saved from a situation of horrible neglect in the Nevada desert. Many of the cats who came from ‘The Great Kitty Rescue’ are unapproachable. But Nacho’s curiosity and love of food has helped him move forward. Although he hasn’t let anyone cuddle or stroke him yet, he no longer runs off when people approach him. And his caregivers believe he is coming around. Born in 2005, Nacho is in good health. Besides eating, he enjoys hanging out and playing with other cats. If Nacho can find a quiet home with a patient person or couple and friendly cats, he’s likely to make even more progress. Could you be the one to change his life forever?
Maisie
This pretty girl is a quiet, somewhat shy kitty. Maisie came from an animal rescue group in New York that was forced to close their facility. Here at the Sanctuary, she is most often found hanging out with her brother Micah, and two besties Crosby and Spatz. If approached slowly when she is safe with her friends she will sometimes allow gentle pets. She also enjoys treats and a cozy basket. If you enjoy quiet days reading a book or simply hanging out at home, and have quiet gentle cats that would befriend Maisie, she would be very content to join your family.
RSQ Dogs+
Chloe
Sweet Chloe is a beautiful girl, approximately 3-4 years old and weighs 70 lbs. She loves her people but doesn’t enjoy the company of other dogs. She is so depressed in the shelter, sadly lying on her bed watching the world go by. Once she gets outside, she is a totally different dog. Her ears and tail go up and she loves walking a bit then rolling around in the grass. She’s been going on hikes recently and you can see the joy in her face. Please go visit Chloe and take her outside the shelter to see the beautiful girl RSQ Dogs loves. Chloe would make a true and loyal companion and friend for life. Chloe is house-trained, would be good in a home with children but prefers a home without other dogs.
Zuri
Zuri is a 2.5-year-old Boxer mix who just wants some love and an opportunity. A young and very active pup, Zuri is a sweet girl who craves love and attention but can be selective about other dog friends. Sweet Zuri loves her toys– every time she sees you, she cannot wait to show off her newest toy, and also loves hiking- she does great off-leash. Though she doesn’t love all other dogs, she is great with any dog off-leash hiking. She is great with people, but a little skeptical about children, and she likes to dig! Zuri needs to find a family without younger children or cats, though they do think both of these things could be worked out in her new family with the right amount of patience, care, and training. She just needs someone to give her a chance.
Lulu
Lulu is a sweet pup, a little less than a year old, who was returned to RSQ Dogs through no fault of her own and sadly doesn’t know why she is there. She is a heeler mix with all the playfulness and energy that goes with the breed. They were also told she lives to paddleboard! An adopter willing to put in some time and training would find Lulu to be an amazing, inseparable part of their family. Lulu is house-trained and would be good in a home with other dogs, children or alone.
Harley
Harley is a sweet 3-year-old female cat. She is a little timid at first but warms up quickly. Harley is house-trained, would be good in a home with other cats, children or alone. Harley would really love to find a forever home.
Cadbury
Mama Sundae and her babies Creampuff, Crumble, and Cadbury are looking for their forever homes. Cadbury was born around May 10, 2019, and is ready to be your fur baby. He is house-trained and would be good in a home with other cats, children or alone.

Cali
Cali’s owner got sick and could no longer care for her. She is quite confused about the change in her living arrangements and all the new people and animals around her. She is a “tad” overweight and will benefit from a good diet program. She had been shaved before coming to shelter. She likes the cat tree and watching everything going on around her. Her adoption fee is $40.
Indy
Indy came to the shelter after being found with four tiny babies of her own. She has been a wonderful mom to her babies and it is time that she gets the love and attention she deserves. Indy is a mellow and laid back girl who wants nothing more than a comfy couch to lay on and a big window to gaze out of. Her adoption fee is $40.
Lover
Lover is a 12-year-old beautiful seal point Siamese. He is very friendly, likes to be held or carried around. He is very talkative and will come when called. Lover has been around the other cats in the room but prefers to be by himself so a quiet home would be great for him. He will keep you company while you watch TV, read or relax. He really needs a home of his own. Adoption fee is $20.

Dom
Dom is the most lovable puppy-dog-eyed Beagle/Bassett Hound blend you’ll ever meet. This low-rider came to live at That BAM Place while suffering from Cherry Eye (it doesn’t look great but is mostly cosmetic) but that is being corrected and, after that, he’ll be ready for his new family. Dom has clearly lived in a home before and has pretty impressive manners (although he does get up on BAM’s sofa and is still working on the dog door). Though Dom doesn’t bay like a hound, he has a bit of separation anxiety at the adoption center when he has to be put in his kennel while other dogs are out. This would likely be different in a home environment and we do offer trial placements to make sure he is right for you and your home. Dom does not do well with young children. Although Dom gets along with the wide variety of dogs they have in residence with him (often napping with the smallest 6-pound dog), he would enjoy being an only dog as he prefers to be with people over dogs if given the choice. To find out more about Dom or arrange a meeting with him, contact Julie at (435) 773-5209 by texting or calling. His adoption fee is $125.
Acacia, Chestnut, Ebony, Koa, Mahogany, Mora, Teak
These puppies are all up for adoption! They are 7 weeks old and will be placed in foster to adopt homes until they are old enough to be spayed or neutered at which point their adoption will become final. For that reason, they will not be placed out of our area. Mom is a German Shepherd and they were told dad was a brindle Boxer. To meet the puppies and see who’s who or find out more about the adoption process, text or call Julie at (435) 773-5209.
Barry
Were you widowed by a grumpy old man? Have you been looking to add another to your life since his passing? BAM has got the dog for you! In all seriousness, little Barry has good reason to be grumpy. He came to BAM with a broken pelvis from a California shelter. Since being at BAM, the poor guy has had to deal with puppies in his space, big dogs who don’t respect him an–adding insult to injury–he now has kidney stones. BAM wants the old guy to catch a break and live out the remainder of his life with someone he can find solace and love. Barry loves to rub his back on the floor and wiggle and loves to have belly rubs. He enjoys certain members of the BAM team while others simply aren’t his cup of tea. To find out more about Barry, meet him and see if he’s a match for you text or call Julie at (435) 773-5209.
Freddie
Freddie is an adorable 5-year-old chihuahua. Freddie came to BAM in very rough shape but, after gaining some weight, having surgery and a dental, he is now ready for his forever home. Freddie loves to snuggle with his humans and likes to play with toys. His foster mom recently learned he even likes to play fetch! He gets along well with small dogs but generally isn’t a big fan of big dogs. Freddie is housebroken with a dog door and is crate trained. He would prefer a quieter home without small children. To meet Freddie or find out how to adopt him, contact Julie at (435) 773-5209. His adoption fee is $125.
Butch
Butch joined the BAM family having been labeled a 17-year old dog who was likely more in need of a hospice home than typical rescue. Now that he’s in care and has been seen by their vets, they have the better assessment that he is still a senior but more likely 10–13 years old. Butch, however, has some neurological defects and impaired vision that can make him seem older. In spite of those physical issues, Butch has learned how to cope with two groups of five or more dogs in both his foster home and at their adoption center where he spends most of his days. Butch will often motor around with a funny little wobble but can see shapes or contrast well enough that he doesn’t typically bump into things. Their biggest concern for this little guy is that he ate some gravel and had to undergo surgery to have rocks removed from his system that wasn’t moving either direction. This may be something hell try to do again if unsupervised so they will be quite particular about the home he ends up in to ensure his health and well-being. To find out more about Butch, text or call Julie at (435) 773-5209. His adoption fee is $100 but Butch is also eligible for their Seniors Helping Seniors Program. If you are 65 years of age or older, ask Julie about the program.
