Woodysouthern utah adoptable pets Woody

This Hurricane Harvey survivor is always extremely wiggly and happy. Woody enjoys attention and cuddling with his friends once he has time to bond with them. He loves to play with toys and enjoys learning new tricks through training. Swimming in the pool is his favorite summertime activity and in winter he loves romping through the snow. He has done well with dogs the same size or bigger than him at Dogtown, though he takes a bit to warm up to new dogs. He would love to meet any potential new dog housemates at the Sanctuary.

Inkysouthern utah adoptable pets Inky

Inky is extremely loving and loyal with people. Inky was born in 2013 and came to Best Friends from a shelter in Louisiana. She had a rough start but that hasn’t clouded her happy spirit. She loves to sit with you and is quite relaxed in the house. Volunteers love her. Her talkative nature is enjoyed by many and her whale calls will always make you laugh. She loves to be around people and is happy to be doing whatever you are doing. She’s the perfect companion for a stroll in the neighborhood or a relaxing car ride. If you enjoy taking it easy in the evening, Inky is the perfect girl for you.

Rosebudsouthern utah adoptable pets Rosebud

Beautiful Rosebud is both independent and calm. She takes her time warming up to people and dogs. Rosebud is selective; calm creatures are her natural companions. So you’ll have to be patient and appreciate her at her own pace. Rosebud came to us from an Albuquerque shelter. Born in 2008, this Great Dane mix will let you pet her a while but then walks away to do her own thing. If you are the sort who doesn’t love a ruckus but values a reserved, quiet dog, Rosebud may just be your gal! Rosebud arrived on the thin side and has put on pounds since we first met her. She’s ready for her own loving home. We know this special gal will be someone’s ideal pup! Rosebud has a generous sponsor who will cover her adoption costs.

Maisiesouthern utah adoptable pets Maisie

This pretty girl is a quiet, somewhat shy kitty. Maisie came from an animal rescue group in New York that was forced to close their facility. Here at the Sanctuary, she is most often found hanging out with her brother Micah, and two besties Crosby and Spatz. If approached slowly when she is safe with her friends she will sometimes allow gentle pets. She also enjoys treats and a cozy basket. If you enjoy quiet days reading a book or simply hanging out at home, and have quiet gentle cats that would befriend Maisie, she would be very content to join your family.

Freyasouthern utah adoptable pets Freya

Freya is completely at ease around other cats. She’s a little shy, however, with people. Born in 2012, she was rescued as a stray in Nevada. Although we can pet her, she doesn’t seem to enjoy it yet. But she’s a calm and peaceful girl, and she’ll gladly accept treats. Freya is a Caturtle, also known as a shy cat who comes out of their shell in a home.

Martinsouthern utah adoptable pets Martin

This handsome senior came to Best Friends when his person lost his home to foreclosure in 2014. He can often be found snuggled up to his best friend, Carlson, who also came from that home. Martin is initially timid around people. However, once you’ve earned his trust, there’s no limit to how much time he’ll spend on your lap. Born in 2008, he has a heart murmur but is not on any medication and he’s doing very well. If you have the patience to gain his trust, you will adore this sweet boy and the love he has to give. Can you give Martin the forever home he deserves?

Missysouthern utah adoptable pets MISSY

Missy is a gorgeous blue Cane Corso/Pit blend who was very reserved when she first joined BAM but has begun to come out of her shell in foster care. They are sure this means that an adoptive home would get to see even more of her personality shine. Missy would love a person or family that she didn’t have to share with another dog. However, it may just be that she prefers to be the only girl dog in the home, so if you have a male dog and would like to introduce them, BAM can facilitate that. Missy might look tough but deep down she is just a softy that loves to give kisses and cuddles. She also loves to go on walks and car rides and gets a little sad when you leave her behind. She is very choosy on who her furry house companions are because she likes a lot of love so she does best being the only dog. However, she doesn’t mind other dogs visiting. Missy is 100% potty trained and would be best with older children because she needs a quiet environment. She is a wonderful dog who will be a great addition to someone’s family. Missy is a medium dog with a lot of muscle, so she would be a good exercise companion and it would help her stay fit too. To find out more about Missy text or call Julie at (435) 773-5209. Missy’s adoption fee is $125.

Domsouthern utah adoptable pets DOM

Dom is the most lovable puppy-dog-eyed Beagle/Bassett Hound blend you’ll ever meet. This low-rider came to live at That BAM Place while suffering from Cherry Eye (it doesn’t look great but is mostly cosmetic) but that is being corrected and, after that, he’ll be ready for his new family. Dom has clearly lived in a home before and has pretty impressive manners (although he does get up on BAM’s sofa and is still working on the dog door). Though Dom doesn’t bay like a hound, he has a bit of separation anxiety at the adoption center when he has to be put in his kennel while other dogs are out. This would likely be different in a home environment and we do offer trial placements to make sure he is right for you and your home. Dom does not do well with young children. Although Dom gets along with the wide variety of dogs they have in residence with him (often napping with the smallest 6-pound dog), he would enjoy being an only dog as he prefers to be with people over dogs if given the choice. To find out more about Dom or arrange a meeting with him, contact Julie at (435) 773-5209 by texting or calling. His adoption fee is $125.

Yodelsouthern utah adoptable pets YODEL

Yodel is her given name but BAM prefers Foxy (doesn’t she look like a fox?) or Sweetie Pie because of her loving personality. Foxy is small (about 10–12 lbs.) with a cuddle-me personality. She gets along with other dogs, large and small, but much prefers human companionship and will follow you everywhere. She adores being in your lap with an unquenchable appetite for petting. It’s hard not to pet her…she’s always smiling! She’s a bit of a talker but only when other dogs are vocal and is trained to a doggie door! Yodel is spayed, current on vaccinations and microchipped so she can be part of your family immediately. To find out more about Yodel, meet him and see if he’s a match for you, text or call Julie at (435) 773-5209.
