Tarlton
It’s hard to know Tarlton and not think he’s something special. Maybe it’s the way he carries himself, or his sharp mind, or maybe how he makes each of his people feel so special when you’re with him. Tarlton is a super smart dude who loves to learn new things and has lots of tricks in his arsenal that he loves to show off, like “rollover, “twirl, or “wave. He’s a top-notch cuddler and although he’s quite a large dog, he sometimes forgets and thinks he’s a lap dog. He’ll cover you in slobbery kisses and quickly roll over for belly rubs. Tarlton is young at heart, and he doesn’t seem to let his old age bother him, so hopefully, it won’t bother you either! He’s also part of the Best Friends *Single Pets program! That means he is eligible for a free flight home and waived adoption fee! *Single pets do best as the only dog or cat in the home.
Dorian
This handsome boy with his winning smile is ready to be adored! With his adorable corgi body he can be a little clown or the sweetest cuddle buddy! Once Dorian loves you and knows you love him he will be your friend for life! He has a lot of personality and will be a joyful gentleman as long as you let him be himself! He is intelligent, loves training, and is very food motivated so he would thrive in a home that can give his clever little mind activities and training regularly. If you are interested in learning more about this wonderful, happy boy please contact Best Friends adoptions team.
Avon
Avon is an adorable girl and would be a great companion for someone who loves to enjoy most nights at home, curled up on the couch. Once she is comfortable with you, she is very gentle, loves to snuggle, and enjoys belly rubs. Avon is a sensitive girl and needs someone that understands that she will need time to meet new people and adjust to new situations. This is usually a quick process. A few walks and tasty treats will do the trick! Since Avon takes some time to make new friends, she does require adopters to come to the sanctuary and meet her. At 11 years old, Avon is fairly active. She loves to go on walks and is great on leash. When it comes to dog friends, Avon prefers dogs that will give her space and be fine with her being the boss. She is a sassy senior! When Avon was a puppy, she ate some things that she should not have (don’t they all). She is on a special diet, as well as, daily supplements that aide indigestion. All Best Friends want is for this sweet senior dog to find her forever home. Go and meet this wonderful girl and fill out an application today. We know you will fall in love!
Gus
Gus is a laid back, easygoing kinda guy. He enjoys warm beds, good food, and relaxing days. He really enjoys attention from people and is not at all shy. If there’s a group of people, he usually manages to get himself in the middle. He also hangs out with other cats and gets along with most of them. He is a pro at walking on a harness and wants to spend all his time exploring. He is a great snuggler on sleepovers. Born in 2013, Gus came from an animal rescue organization in Arizona. He has Feline Leukemia (FeLV), so he’ll need to live with other FeLV cats, or be your one and only kitty. Do you have a warm bed where Gus can relax?
Alafair
Although Alafair is friendly and playful with her fellow felines, she’s fearful of people. She’s curious, though, and you can tempt her with wand toys. But she won’t let anyone touch her yet. Born in 2013, Alafair came from an animal rescue organization in California. She has a very sweet spirit, and we think she’d come out of her shell if she could find a home where she felt safe and comfortable.
Domino
Domino is a sweet and loving guy who likes to have his head scratched and petted. He greets his caregivers every morning by rubbing up against their legs as he waits for his head scritches. He was born in 2010 and has a history of urinary crystals, for which he must be monitored. He is on medication for it and requires wet food. He had an eye removed due to glaucoma. He also has Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV ), but he can still live a long and happy life. FIV is only spread to other cats via deep bite wounds, and since Domino tolerates other cats without incident, he would be fine living with FIV- cats. He does prefer the company of humans, though, and he’s looking for one of his own!

Landon
Landon is a 5-month-old English Bulldog/Chihuahua/Pug mix. He is a sweet young dog with an adorable underbite! He’s a bit cautious meeting new people but warms up quickly. He loves to play ball, is a good leash walker, and is good with children.
Bullet
Bullet is a 10-year young chihuahua/pug mix. He is a mature, loving sweetheart who still has a lot of spunk. He’s been bounced around a bit in his 10 years during which he lost the sight in his eye but that doesn’t slow him down. He still has a lot of energy for walks & playing. He’s got a few extra pounds on him, so he’s on a strict eating plan and will have some needed dental work done soon, but is ready for his new home with you. Come meet Bullet and see what a special boy he is.
Shenzi
Shenzi is a 6-7-month-old German Shepherd mix on the petite side. She is super sweet and loves to give kisses. She likes to play with other dogs and would do well in a family that will give her a lot of exercise. She would be good in a home with children, other dogs or alone.

She is house-trained, knows many commands, and is eager to learn more. She is a little nervous at first, but warms up quickly and is very loving. Floof would make an amazing companion for an active individual but does not do well with children. Her adoption fee is $60.
Ollie
He is a pit bull terrier mix and is approximately 3 years old. Ollie is extremely shy but is a very sweet guy. There’s a good chance his personality will blossom once he’s in a loving home. He walks well on a leash and kennels easily. He seems to get along with other dogs and would make a great addition to a quiet home. Ollie does have a heart murmur and will likely require annual vet check-ups. His adoption fee: $60.
Jinx
Jinx’s owner moved and could not take her with them. She is one year old, friendly, and easily handled. Jinx comes when called and is very inquisitive. Her adoption fee is $40.

Hazel
Hazel is a 1-year-old beauty. This lovely lady is one special cat. She is playful, loving, and very social. She will make a terrific family cat. Hazel had kittens this spring and now she’s ready to find her own home. Her adoption fee is $75.

Livy
Beautiful Livy is 8–9 years old and is the most loving girl ever. She is a gentle soul who takes her time / is a little on the slow-paced side and very friendly. She likes children and other dogs. Livy’s rabies vaccine is up to date and she will be receiving her distemper/parvovirus/bordetella inoculations shortly.
Bella
Pretty Bella is a rock! She’s a big goofy girl who thinks she’s little. She came to BAM a smidge overweight and will need to shed a few pounds to be as healthy as she should be. It’s hard to tell what she’s mixed with–Labrador or Rottweiler maybe but she’s a whole lot of lover girl! If you need someone to walk with or toss a ball to or just rub a tummy while you binge watch tv, she’s always ready! She may look rough and tumble but she wants to be loved on just like all the other girls. Bella gets along with other dogs but gets possessive of her toys and doesn’t always want to share so she will need to be closely monitored with her playmates.
Piper
Piper is a sweet senior girl who just wants to relax and be pampered. She is on medication for a previously untreated condition called Collie Nose and needs to be guarded from too much sun. She loves gentle kids and gets along with gentle dogs. She’s a lover girl that just needs someone to love her back.
Pepper
Sweet Pepper is a beautiful chunk of love who will go belly up for a tummy rub any time of day — except dinner time, of course. Pepper’s short snout makes it more difficult for her to tolerate hot weather, especially while exercising. It is critically important to make sure she has enough shade and water. She needs to be monitored to make sure she is not struggling to breathe. In our shelter, Pepper is cage aggressive with some of the other dogs so she would need to meet any potential playmates before adoption.
