Supra
Supra is a mellow little chihuahua who seems to have learned some funny stuff during his eight years living in a home. Such as carrying shoes around the house!
He may take a minute to warm up to strangers but that’s all it takes. Same with new dogs. Supra is a steady little guy!
Woody
This Hurricane Harvey survivor is always extremely wiggly and happy. Woody enjoys attention and cuddling with his friends once he has time to bond with them. He loves to play with toys and enjoys learning new tricks through training. Swimming in the pool is his favorite summertime activity and in winter he loves romping through the snow. Woody has done well with dogs the same size or bigger than him at Dogtown, though he takes a bit to warm up to new dogs. He does require someone with dog experience because he can guard his food and toys at times. He would love to meet any potential new dog housemates at the Sanctuary.
Bean
Bean is a sweet friendly older gentleman. He gets along well with other dogs and he loves car rides and will hop in the car happily. If you are looking for a well-behaved boy, Bean is your guy! Make arrangements to meet Bean today!
Benton
Little Benton is full of personality. He can be sweet or feisty, depending on his mood. He’s his own boss, and don’t try to tell him differently! It’s easy to see why he was named after the original famous Benton. They’re both handsome grey and white boys with attitude. Benton had a bent paw, and Little Benton has a bent tail. He also has an attitude toward other cats.
Little Benton was born in 2007 and was originally found abandoned. We found him a home, but his person passed away and Little Benton returned to Best Friends. He can be moody and is on medication to help, but if you’re willing to accommodate that, he’ll gladly pay you back with sweet, funny, and feisty companionship. His favorite thing is to go for rides in a stroller. He is an awesome guy who would love a home without other cats and a human who will chauffeur him around in a stroller of his very own.
Milo
Milo came to Best Friends from northern Utah. He’s shy upon first meeting, but once he gets to know you, he’ll gladly ask for attention. He adores having his head and chin scratched, loves treats, and is a sucker for being petted.
Milo is good with other cats, as long as they’re not aggressive. He can even handle young, playful kittens, and loves a good catnip toy to bat around. Born in 2007, Milo has a food allergy and is on a special diet, but that little inconvenience is more than outweighed by his loving ways. Milo would make a wonderful addition to your home, so if you think it’s a match, consider adopting him today!
Bakari
Bakari is friendly with people. He enjoys playing with a wand toy and likes to be petted. Born in 2010, he came from a rescue group in Arizona. He has Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), but is otherwise healthy. He would definitely prefer to be the only cat in a home as he has been known to get into minor arguments with some of his roommates from time to time. He would like to go to a home where he can show his true colors.
RSQ Dogs+
RSQ Dogs+ is Southern Utah’s newest nonprofit animal rescue group. It is an all-volunteer group dedicated to saving the lives of animals in underserved, rural areas of Washington County. Nova
Nova is a 1-year-old Husky/Malamute mix. She came to us pregnant, and has since successfully delivered and weaned 7 beautiful puppies! All of her puppies have found their furever homes, and now it’s her turn! Nova is super sweet and playful. She’s currently in a foster home with two other dogs and a cat and doing wonderfully.
Sage
Sage is a shepherd mix and is approximately 1.5–2 years old. Sage is the most loving, sweetest girl. She takes her time to trust but, once she does, she’s the best! She is able to jump fences, so she really needs a secure yard or a plan to keep her safe when her owners are away. She is a great loving dog, who bonds quickly to her people, and is loyal to a fault. She LOVES water, and hiking, and being able to run. She would make a good hiking, running, or even biking buddy!
Nike
Nike is a 1 ½-year-old Basenji mix, we think, due to her looks and lack of barking. She came to us with her two babies, Crash and Crush. She loves to play with them and run around. She’s not much of a cuddler, but she appreciates pets and likes attention. She would be good in a home with other dogs, children, or alone.
Tali
Tali is a beautiful 3-year-old cat. She has a calm disposition and loves to have her head scratched. She is house-trained and would be good in a home with other cats or alone. Tortoiseshell cats can be talkative but they also bring good luck!
Sasha
Sasha is in her golden years and longs for a sunny spot to warm her bones. She enjoys an occasional head scratch but her arthritis prevents her from enjoying being petted/stroked on her back. Surely you have a quiet sunny spot for her to rest on. She is house-trained and would be good in a home with other cats or alone.
Otter Pop
Otter Pop is approximately 3 years old. He loves head rubs and cuddles. Otter Pop is house-trained. The only thing that will melt is your heart when you meet him. Make arrangements to meet Otter Pop soon!

Buddy
Lab-Heeler-Border Collie mix? The perfect blend! Very sweet and well socialized. Buddy loves to cuddle and play with the smaller puppies. He would probably be great with other dogs and kids too (maybe even cats).
Buddy will be available locally only as a foster to adopt after he has his second round of puppy shots (probably the beginning of February). Meanwhile, we are accepting applications. Once he has been neutered, the adoption can be finalized and Buddy will be all yours forever and ever!
If you are interested in checking out this little love bug, call or text Julie at (435) 773-5209. Tuesday–Saturday 9am–5pm to arrange a meeting at That BAM Place.
Barry Black

Barry
Barry is not a lap dog (unless he decides he wants to be). Instead, he is a grumpy boy who came to us with a broken pelvis which still causes him pain. In the year he’s been with us, Barry also suffered seizures and kidney stones. He’s on a special diet and medication for all of these things, but he’s still a grump. And we all still love him!
Since being in our care, the poor guy has had to deal with puppies and big dogs who don’t understand why he doesn’t want to roughhouse. He does get along with dogs who aren’t in his face and likes to fetch a ball as long as you don’t try to take it back from him (Barry’s rules).
Ornery as he is, Barry is kind of our mascot and we want the old guy to catch a break and live out the remainder of his life with someone he can find solace in.
Barry loves to rub his back on the floor and wiggle and loves to have belly rubs by a person of his choosing. He enjoys certain members of our team while others simply aren’t his cup of tea.
To find out more about Barry, meet him and see if he’s a match for you, text, or call Julie at (435) 773-5209.
Ace
Ace is a happy, big old pup who has no idea he’s ever been injured, has recently had major surgery, and definitely doesn’t’ know that he’s supposed to have been calm and quiet while recuperating. His vet is amazed at just how well he has done so quickly!
Ace has a lot of energy and will need an active home. He would love to have a nice big yard to play in, along with regular and increasing exercise to strengthen his leg. In a few months, he’ll likely want to go on hikes and long walks. In the meantime, he loves affection and he loves to play! If he has toys and balls, he can entertain himself for long periods of time. He’d love you to throw the ball, but if you’re not available, he’s perfectly capable of throwing it for himself!! He needs to learn some manners but he is a bright boy and will learn quickly. He does tend to be toy possessive so some supervision will be needed with his doggy playmates.
Ace is fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and ready to go to his forever home today!!! He will need an adopter with patience and one who is willing to care for him if his leg causes him issues in the future.
To find out more about Ace, meet him and see if he’s a match for you, text, or call Julie at (435) 773-5209.
