Krump
Large breed lovers, meet this sweet soul Krump! He’s a tall and leggy 82 lbs. For him, there is no love more sincere than the love of food. He excels at nose work at the sanctuary finding every last crumb. Krump is crate trained and knows basic cues. A perfect gentleman in the car, he enjoys sitting in the backseat and watching the world go by. One of his favorite pastimes is laying on his back with his legs sticking straight into the air. While at the sanctuary, he currently lives with another large breed female and would do best in a similar environment. He loves to be near you while your around in the house but is calm and relaxed while you are out.
Lyla
Sure Lyla is a gorgeous girl, but this little lady is so much more than her silky coat and sweet smile. She is an intelligent, joyful, affectionate, and loyal lady who is ready to settle next to you for a cozy night in or head out for a mountain adventure. She loves to use her brain with puzzles and training and learns new games, tricks, or jobs around the house with the ease of a working dog. Though initially shy and one who needs time to adjust to new places and people, once settled in she is a true joy and happily prances with her tug toys, loves playing fetch and rolling in the soft grass. Contact us to learn more about Lyla and find out if yours could be the next heart stolen by those deep and soulful eyes.
Heismann
Heismann is a big teddy bear with a heart of gold. It takes a fair amount of time for this special boy to warm up to new people, but anyone who has put in the time to become his friend is rewarded with unconditional love. It takes a lot of work to earn his trust but in the end, it all pays off. Heismann adores his people and aims to please them. He enjoys nice easy walks as well as stuffed toys and treats. He is also well versed in basic training commands like sit, shake, down, wait and place. This fella is getting on in years, but he’s the epitome of “young at heart.” Heismann would do best as a single dog in an adult-only home. If you think you have the perfect home for this big, cuddly boy, please reach out to us today!
Maya
Maya is a long-haired beauty that will steal your heart the moment you meet her. She loves her feline friends, especially Divya, and Temptations are her favorite treat. She came to Best Friends in 2016 from a rescue group in Nevada where she lived since she was 7 months old. She has never had a family to call her own. Will you be her hero and give her the love and patience she needs to finally know the love of human touch and companionship.
Irby
This stately, dignified lady observes the world calmly and values relationships with quiet, sensitive humans who can appreciate her for the independent soul that she is. A classy black cat with sleek fur and a quiet demeanor, Irby can often be found curling up in the softest cat bed in the room or finding a lofty catio perch from which to enjoy the beautiful red-rock cliffs that surround the Sanctuary. She’ll be happy to accept some pets and love–just enough and not too much–and she looks forward to enjoying a quiet life with a kind soul who possesses at least two or three comfortable sofas to explore.
Ananda
Ananda’s a strong, smart girl who knows her own mind and will make sure you know it, too! Both assertive and affectionate, she’s vocal with humans and tends to be dominant in her relationships with other cats. If you’re looking for a bright, energetic companion who loves to play and romp, and who’s also very keen on getting her own way in life, then Ananda’s the girl for you!

Sabrina
Sabrina is a 1-year-old Husky/Terrier mix. Sabrina still has a puppy personality and loves to play, but will need some basic training to teach her manners. She would be good in a home with other dogs, children, or alone. She is so ready for her furever family and home. Is it yours?
Sarabi
Sarabi is a young, female Border Collie & Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler mix. She came from the Colorado City impound and apparently she is an escape artist. She needs to go to a home with a very secure yard or worked out so much that she wouldn’t have the energy to escape. She does great with kids and is not too high-energy. She’s a great gal that deserves a furever loving home.
Sailor
Sailor is a 10-year-old Labrador Retriever and Rhodesian Ridgeback mix who has been living outside his whole life. He would love a family to show him what it’s like to be an inside dog and part of the family with a nice soft dog bed to spend his days! He would be good in a home with other dogs, children, or alone.
Xander
This handsome boy is approximately 5 years old. Xander is a love bug who likes chin scratches and going for a ride in his carriage. He enjoys being brushed and chasing toys. His cute little half mustache adds to his charm. Come meet Xander and fall in love.
Felix
Felix is a gorgeous orange with marble markings one-year-old male. He is very lovable and enjoys cuddling. He was just rescued and hopes to be adopted to a loving family. He is house-trained and would be good in a home with other cats or alone.
Bob Jones
Bob Jones wants nothing more than to cuddle and be a couch potato. He is a very laid-back cat who purrs incessantly until he gets his food. He would need a slow introduction to existing cats. He is house-trained. Bob Jones will be the perfect addition to your household.

Sugar (Jolie)
Although she came with the name Jolie, her foster mama has renamed her Sugar: she’s all white and as sweet as can be! A tiny thing … we’re guessing 5 lbs or less … she’s young and very playful. She gets along well with her foster pack but is a people dog and is happiest with a squeaky toy or getting attention from her person.
Sugar already knows how to use the doggy door and is learning to walk on a leash. She’s getting used to being snuggled but is not a lap dog yet … she’s quite the independent girl although she likes to keep you in her sight. Sugar loves her treats so teaching her should be a simple task. Because of her size, we suggest no children or only those who are older and respectful.
If you are interested in checking out this adorable little girl to see if she could be your new best friend, call or text her foster mama Phyllis at (435) 705-9227 to arrange a meeting.
Jacob
Poor little Jacob was hit by a car and ended up losing a large chunk of his tail which feels better and is now a cute little nub. He’s a shy, sweet boy who only wants someone he can love and trust to keep him safe. We aren’t sure what breeds he has in him but there’s probably a bunch! He’s long and lean with legs like a basset hound but his head is more like a terrier that’s what we at BAM call a one-of-a-kind perfect blend!
If you would like to meet this delightful boy, visit that BAM Place between 9:00 and 5:00 Tuesday through Saturday or submit a BAM Adoption Application and, if approved, we’ll contact you within 7 days to arrange a meeting. To submit an application, click here.
Dee Dee
Dee Dee is a precious little senior long-haired dachshund who had to be shaved before she could travel to BAM because she was so matted. She was lumpy, bumpy, a little warty, and had some pretty nasty teeth but, after a snip here, a nip there, and a few tugs everywhere, she’s looking and feeling so much better!!! She’s looking forward to getting her stitches out on March 3rd and moving into her forever home.
Dee Dee has glaucoma which will require ongoing treatment (eye drops) and she may be a bit hard of hearing, but she has the sweetest temperament and loves to walk. She isn’t really a lap dog … yet … but she does like to be near her people and will follow you everywhere
If you would like to meet this delightful girl, visit that BAM Place between 9–5pm Tuesday through Saturday or submit a BAM Adoption Application and, if approved, we’ll contact you within 7 days to arrange a meeting. To submit an application, click here.
Barry
Barry is not a lap dog (unless he decides he wants to be). Instead, he is a grumpy boy who came to us with a broken pelvis which still causes him pain. In the year he’s been with us, Barry also suffered seizures and kidney stones. He’s on a special diet and medication for all of these things, but he’s still a grump. And we all still love him!
Since being in our care, the poor guy has had to deal with puppies and big dogs who don’t understand why he doesn’t want to roughhouse. He does get along with dogs who aren’t in his face and likes to fetch a ball as long as you don’t try to take it back from him (Barry’s rules).
Ornery as he is, Barry is kind of our mascot and we want the old guy to catch a break and live out the remainder of his life with someone he can find solace in.
Barry loves to rub his back on the floor and wiggle and loves to have belly rubs by a person of his choosing. He enjoys certain members of our team while others simply aren’t his cup of tea.
To find out more about Barry, meet him and see if he’s a match for you, text, or call Julie at (435) 773-5209.
Ace
Ace is a happy, big old pup who has no idea he’s ever been injured, has recently had major surgery, and definitely doesn’t’ know that he’s supposed to have been calm and quiet while recuperating. His vet is amazed at just how well he has done so quickly!
Ace has a lot of energy and will need an active home. He would love to have a nice big yard to play in, along with regular and increasing exercise to strengthen his leg. In a few months, he’ll likely want to go on hikes and long walks. In the meantime, he loves affection and he loves to play! If he has toys and balls, he can entertain himself for long periods of time. He’d love you to throw the ball, but if you’re not available, he’s perfectly capable of throwing it for himself!! He needs to learn some manners but he is a bright boy and will learn quickly. He does tend to be toy possessive so some supervision will be needed with his doggy playmates.
Ace is fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and ready to go to his forever home today!!! He will need an adopter with patience and one who is willing to care for him if his leg causes him issues in the future.
To find out more about Ace, meet him and see if he’s a match for you, text, or call Julie at (435) 773-5209.
