Best Friends Animal Sanctuary
Best Friends Animal Sanctuary is located five miles north of Kanab at 5001 Angel Canyon Road. All adoptable cats and dogs are spayed or neutered and up to date on vaccinations. Haku
Haku is the happiest hound you’ll ever meet – and he already loves you SO much! He enjoys a good walk with good sniffs and frequently likes to share his findings with the world by hollering for all to hear – his nose is on a mission! This sweet six-year-old has recently started having seizures but with medication, he has become quite stable. Haku sometimes thinks beds and couches are just for him, so his Caregivers are working with him on some commands to help with these behaviors. Like most dogs, Haku would be happiest in a home that understands all of the things that make him special.
Dallas
Miss Dallas is quite the cuddler once she knows you. She loves toys and playing tug as well as big fluffy beds to burrow in. Dallas does ask that she get yummy treats from new people before she invites them into her circle but the work is totally worth it! This lovely gal has been known to be a little protective of people she is bonded to so she would need an understanding owner and some continued training once in her forever home. However, she totally loves people and enjoys going for hikes and lounging on the couch. She will match your energy for the day and just wants to be by your side. Please ask about Dallas today!
Muffin
Muffin just takes a little bit to win this boy over, but once you are friends, you are friends for life! Muffin is very gentle and quiet but he does have a bouncy goofy side. Muffin loves to play with other dogs. Muffin knows basic commands, like sit and paw. He loves to play fetch out in the yard and snuggle up in a pile of blankets. Muffin would love to meet you and show you what a good boy he can be.
Moscow Mule
Moscow Mule is a quiet boy with a big milk mustache. Gearhart
This handsome fellow is one of a kind! He not only enjoys people but is also a lover of nature. Gearhart loves being outside on harness walks, stroller rides, and bird watching.

RSQ Dogs+
RSQ Dogs+ is Southern Utah’s newest nonprofit animal rescue group. It is an all-volunteer group dedicated to saving the lives of animals in underserved, rural areas of Washington County. All of the animals in their care are fully vetted including spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip, and any medical care they may need. Henry
This little 8-month-old guy is a lover. He wants to be with his people 24 hours a day! Henry is the perfect size at approximately 25 pounds. (He is much smaller than he looks in his pictures.) He is great with everyone and ready to be your constant companion and adventure sidekick. We believe he’s a mix of Kelpie and border collie. Henry is house-trained and would be good in a home with other dogs or alone.
Lola
Lola is a 1-year-old Border Collie/Shihtzu mix. She is both sweet but shy with new people. She is active and playful with other dogs. Lola is so deserving of her own furever, loving family. Make arrangements to meet Lola today!

Providing Animals With Support (PAWS)
PAWS Adoption Center is now open to the public Tuesday-Saturday 11 AM-3 PM. Located at 1125 W. 1130 N. in St. George. All pets are microchipped, spayed or neutered, and current on vaccinations. Jay
Jay is a typical puppy. He is a Red Heeler mix who is very playful and loveable. He would make a great family pet, hiking buddy, or just a great companion. He’s had his first set of puppy shots, has been dewormed and microchipped. Jay will be neutered when he is old enough. Come into PAWS and meet this great little pup!
Ellie
Ellie is a Red Heeler mix pup with the cutest ears ever! This sweet, playful, social girl is everything you want in a pup…loving, curious, sweet, and SMART. She’s vaccinated to date, microchipped, dewormed and she will be spayed at the appropriate age. Come meet her at the PAWS Adoption Center.
Wally
Meet Wally. He’s a 6-year-old Dachshund/ Retriever mix breed. He’s 35# and he’s one great dog. He is loving, cuddly, and loves to play ball. He’s good with other dogs and kids He’s one special dog. He’s fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and neutered. This character will make laugh, take you for lovely walks and give you unconditional love and snuggles.
Princess
Princess is a 4-year-old Lovebug. This sweet girl is social and playful. She makes a great comfort cat, who loves lap sitting, cuddles and petting. She’s independent and playful. Indigo is a very sweet Tabby cat who is about a year old. She gets along with other kitties and would also do well as an only cat. She is very sweet and playful, too. If you would like to meet her, come into PAWS Adoption Center. She is spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated and is ready to go home.

Because Animals Matter
Because Animals Matter is dedicated to reducing animal abuse and neglect through education. It offers fully vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and microchipped animals for adoption through a network of foster homes and the Because Animals Matter Center, a transition facility. It also welcomes volunteers for a variety of activities and needs foster families for animals awaiting their forever homes. Mikko
“Mikko” (pronounced Mick O), Hebrew for God, is a lovely gentleman who enjoys short walks and hanging out with other dogs, especially little ones. He’s an absolute lover boy and bonds quickly with everyone
Mikko will be having a mass removed from his leg soon and will be available for adoption once it’s done. He’s neutered, microchipped, housebroken, up-to-date on his vaccinations, and ready to move to his new forever home.
Maycie
If ever there was someone in need of love, it’s our Maycie! This girl will be your best friend and closest companion. She loves people, is an excellent snuggle bug, and will probably crawl in your lap and give kisses the first time you meet her. She’s around a year old, smart, housebroken, knows basic commands, gets along with other dogs, and is as sweet as she can be!
Olive and Sunshine
Olive is the most stunning girl with amazing gold eyes and a cute little pink nose. She’s shy for about 10 seconds but as soon as you sit on the floor with her, she’s in your lap giving the sweetest kisses.
Sunshine is a beautiful, loving girl with piercing eyes who loves getting belly rubs and giving puppy kisses.
These pups will be available LOCALLY ONLY as foster to adopt until she’s been spayed, then the adoption will be completed and she’ll be all yours!
Pugsley
Pugsley is a charming one-year-old who is looking for a family of his own. He’s playful and smart; already knows sit and how to use the dog door, loves romping with other dogs, enjoys a good game of keep away, and adores tummy rubs!
Pugsley has not been neutered yet and males like that often have a nasty habit of lifting their legs on everything, at least at first. This will hopefully not be the case once he’s been neutered and his foster will need to keep an eye on him to help correct this behavior. He’s an awesome boy though, so it will be worth the effort.
Pugsley is available LOCALLY ONLY as foster to adopt. Once he has been neutered, the adoption will be completed and this handsome boy will be all yours!
Titan and Keeva
Meet this bonded pair: Titan (95 lb Male, 6 yrs) and Keeva (60 lb Female, 5 yrs). Keeva was 8 wks old when she met her big brother and they are tightly bonded. They were their mom and dad’s only children and did everything together: mountain camping, hiking, car rides, playing in streams, strolling the neighborhood. They are primarily house pets but obviously love being active in the outdoors and using their doggy door to explore the yard.
The family has now expanded with an infant and a toddler. Managing two full-time jobs and the babies has added stress and put a strain on the time and care mom and dad can spend with them. The dogs feel the difference and are longing for their pre-baby life back. Mom and Dad’s hearts are broken but feel it is only fair to find the perfect, active family for these two to get their show back on the road.
With the proper introduction, they are good with children and all animals, including cats. If children, 10 or older would be preferable so these dogs can get the attention they need. Huskies need to be part of the pack. They are not happy to be an outdoor pet that is not part of the family. With a little daily exercise and a home of their own, they make absolutely wonderful pets.
