About this pet: Hank is a sweety-pie! He’s about 1 year old and came from a high-kill shelter in California. Hank has been at PAWS since March 26. He gets along with other large dogs and some small dogs. He loves people and is very energetic. Hank likes water and hiking and would be a great family dog.

About this animal: Roddy was found as a stray. He is good with other dogs and seems to love everyone he meets. He is very motivated to learn and has mastered the jump and ramp in the exercise yard. He is learning his manners and loves to go on walks. He wants to be with people and will go looking for new friends if left alone. He would make a great running partner.

About this animal: Tasha was found as a stray. She had on a collar but no one came to pick her up. She is very friendly and loves to be pet and held. She is delicate-boned with a Tortoise-shell coloring and approximately 1 year old.

The City of Mesquite Animal Shelter also received eight cats from a multiple-cat home. These cats are all spayed or neutered. They are declawed in front with four of them declawed in the back. All of them, with the exception of one cat, get along well with each other and with other cats. They are all nice. They vary in sizes and color.
