The Southern Utah Art Guild continues its mission of supporting local artists and building creative community through a full slate of February exhibitions and events, all free and open to the public.
At Red Cliff Gallery, the February exhibition Close to Home runs from February 13 through March 26. Celebrating St. George’s Parade of Homes, the show highlights artwork inspired by place, community, and the idea of home. Featured artist Cheryl Sache brings vibrant color and expressive energy to the exhibition, inviting viewers to engage emotionally as well as visually.

Adding a collaborative layer to the experience, members of Red Rock Writers, the St. George chapter of the Utah State Poets Society, have written original poems inspired by selected artworks in the show. The pairing of visual art and poetry creates a thoughtful dialogue between mediums, encouraging visitors to slow down, reflect, and experience the work from multiple perspectives. All artwork in the exhibition is available for purchase.
Meanwhile, Arrowhead Gallery features photographer Deb Bice as its February featured artist. Known locally and nationally for her photography, Bice’s work adds another dimension to the guild’s February programming, showcasing the breadth of artistic voices represented within the organization.
Beyond exhibitions, the guild continues to foster artistic growth through CONNECT, a monthly critique night sponsored by the Utah Arts Alliance. Held February 5 from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Social Hall on Main Street, CONNECT offers emerging and established artists the opportunity to receive constructive feedback in a supportive environment, guided by host Colleen Gianatiempo.
Together, these offerings reflect the Southern Utah Art Guild’s ongoing commitment to accessibility, collaboration, and creative development. More information is available at southernutahartguild.com.
