The Southern Utah Art Guild is set to bring a vibrant lineup of art events to downtown St. George this September, with opportunities to meet artists, view new exhibitions, and participate in community workshops at both Arrowhead Gallery and Red Cliff Gallery.

The month begins with an open house at Arrowhead Gallery on Thursday, September 4, from 5 to 7 p.m. Guests can meet many of the gallery’s artists, enjoy live music, and sample light refreshments while exploring fresh work. September’s featured artist is Roland Lee, a nationally recognized watercolorist known for his striking landscapes. Lee is a signature member of the National Watercolor Society, and his paintings have appeared in national publications including Fine Art Connoisseur and Southwest Art. Arrowhead Gallery is located at 68 E. Tabernacle in St. George.

Red Cliff Gallery also has a full schedule of events this fall. On September 11, from 6 to 8 p.m., the Utah Arts Alliance presents Connect, a program designed to give emerging Utah artists constructive critiques from host Colleen Gianatiempo before exhibiting their work in the gallery.

Continuing through September 18 is The Power of Three, a collaborative exhibition featuring three creative collectives: Guild SubClubs, Elements at Play, and Turn Center artists. The show also includes work from Sego Lily, a group of Deaf artists sharing stories of triumph over domestic abuse.
