The Southern Utah Art Guild is wrapping up the year with an exciting lineup of exhibits and events that showcase the region’s creativity and community spirit. From large-scale group shows to intimate gallery gatherings, art lovers will find plenty to explore throughout November and early December.
Red Cliff Gallery: “Light & Shadow” and “Gift of Art”
The “Light & Shadow” exhibit continues through November 6, featuring more than 175 works of art by 65 local artists. On November 14, the gallery will open its next show, “Gift of Art,” which runs through December 18. This annual exhibit focuses on smaller pieces perfect for holiday giving, including oil paintings, ceramics, watercolors, fiber art, and more. Visitors are invited to attend the opening reception on Friday, November 14, from 6 to 8 PM at Red Cliff Gallery, 220 N. 200 E., St. George.
Arrowhead Gallery: Holiday Open House and Featured Artists
Arrowhead Gallery will host a festive Open House on December 4 from 3 to 6 PM. Guests can meet many of the resident artists, enjoy live Christmas carols performed by Encore, and sample refreshments while browsing new works. All artwork in the gallery will be 10% off during the event.
The Guest Artist for the Open House is Del Parsons, a renowned local painter known for his expressive figure work. November’s Featured Artist is photographer Van Strohm, whose award-winning images capture Southern Utah’s natural landscapes and wildlife with a keen artistic eye. Arrowhead Gallery is located at 68 E. Tabernacle in St. George.
The Art Guild: Connect Event
The Art Guild’s next “Connect” event will take place November 6 from 6 to 8 PM. Designed for new and emerging artists, “Connect” offers the opportunity to have artwork critiqued by host Colleen Gianatiempo and exhibited at Red Cliff Gallery.
