Michael Plyler Special Exhibit
“Zion Canyon: A Storied Land” is an exhibit by photographer Michael Plyler that highlights the beauty of our neighboring Zion National Park. This special exhibit is being presented to celebrate the National Park Service centennial. Regular admission fees apply. This exhibit will be on display daily through Oct. 31. at Frontier Homestead State Park.
“Go Out & Play” Exhibit
“Go Out & Play” is an exhibit of many local and original artists from the southern Utah area. The event features Karen March, Professor McGarren, Jodi Fuller, Dan Whalen, Dan Lewis, Fiona Phillips, Julie Rogers, Larry Winborg, Jeremy Winborg, and Kirk Parkinson. The exhibit aims to inspire a sense of wonder, creativity, and natural curiosity. This free exhibit shows 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily until Nov. 11. “Silverwood” Live at The Elks Lodge

The Utah Shakespeare Festival presents “Murder For Two”
Everyone is a suspect in this hilarious musical murder-mystery with a twist. In “Murder for Two,” one actor investigates the crime. The other plays all the suspects. And they both play the piano! Don’t miss the fun at this play in Cedar City at the Eileen and Allen Anes Studio Theatre Thursday and Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. This show will run through Oct. 22. Brigham’s Playhouse presents “110 In The Shade”
“110 In The Shade” is a musical adaptation of the play “The Rainmaker.” This fantastic musical will show Thursday and Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. through Sept. 17. Ticket prices range from $17 to $23. For showtime and ticket information, go to Brigham’s Playhouse online.

“Oleana” by David Mamet
Kayenta Arts Foundation is pleased to present “Oleanna,” David Mamet’s examination of political correctness, academic politics, and sexual harassment. This event will be presented in the intimate setting of Kayenta’s Room for Thought located in the Kayenta Art Village. Tuacahn presents “The Hunchback of Notre Dame”
Come see the Tuacahn amphitheater transformed into 15th century Paris, and follow Quasimodo on his adventure. Parental discretion is advised as “The Hunchback Of Notre Dame” involves mature themes. Tuacahn presents “Tarzan”
Tuacahn Amphitheater brings an unforgettable experience to the stage in Disney’s timeless adventure, “Tarzan.” This musical will show Thursdays through Saturdays at 8:30 p.m. through Oct. 12. This is the perfect family adventure for kids and adults. Ticket prices vary from $29 to $79 and can be purchased at the Tuacahn website.
St. George Musical Theater presents “Into The Woods”
“Into The Woods” brings your favorite stories together in this rare and enchanting musical. The story follows a baker and his wife who wish to have two children: Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King’s festival, and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a witch’s curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone’s wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results. This is an exciting tale for the whole family. Staheli Family Farm’s Movie In The Park presents “Finding Dory”
On Friday at 6 p.m., “Finding Dory” will show at the Washington City Veterans Park. This is a free event with free popcorn. There will be vendors, entertainment, and more. The movie begins at dusk. Contact the St. George Chamber of Commerce for more information.
Bonfire Music Festival 2016
Bonfire Music Festival 2016, featuring Crizzly, Chingy, Petey Pablo, and more, will start at 6 p.m. on Friday and lasts until dawn at the Shivwits Paiute Indian Reservation. This is an 18-and-older party and a BYOB party for ages 21 and older. IDs are required for this event. Tickets can be purchased for $20 at MOJO’s Smokeshop.
“Latin Trilogy: Ultimate Tribute Show to Selena, Carlos Santana, and Gloria Estefan”
The Casablanca Resort will show “Latin Trilogy: Ultimate Tribute Show to Selena, Carlos Santana, and Gloria Estefan” starring Karla Perez, Mike Torres, and Ines Zak. This is a 21-and-older show. Please bring your IDs. The doors open at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, and the show will start at 8:30 p.m. Ticket information can be found at Casablanca.com.
Tuacahn presents “Peter Pan”

Downtown Farmer’s Market at Ancestor Square
One of the favorite Southern Utah Weekend Events, the Downtown Farmer’s Market, is open every Saturday at 8 a.m. to noon in Ancestor Square at 2 W. St. George Blvd. and will run through Oct. 29. The market features live music and an array of vendors. The Downtown Farmer’s Market is a nonprofit project dedicated to promoting the downtown area as well as organic gardening, homemade arts and crafts, and other goods. Year-Round Farmer’s Market in Cedar City
Visit the only Year-Round Farmer’s Market in Utah, a real farmers market that sells only locally produced and grown fruit, vegetables, jam, bread, and other farm products.
