“Lines in Nature” exhibition
“Lines in Nature” is a two-person exhibit featuring the wood carvings of Justin Newby and the paintings and relief prints of Carol Bold. The exhibit will show through Dec. 26 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Canyon Community Center in Springdale. This is a free event. For information, call (415) 385-5459.
Dickens’ Christmas Festival
Nineteenth-century London comes alive from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. this Thursday through Saturday at The Dickens’ Christmas Festival. The festival will feature entertainment and vendors with unique gifts. Admission is $7 for adults, $6 for seniors, $5 for children 12 and under, and free for children 3 and under. This event will take place at the Dixie Center. Painted Hills Fiber Artists exhibit
The Painted Hills Fiber Artists will feature their work at the St. George Art Museum Thursday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Dec. 31. For more information, call Rosemary Hargrove at (435) 817-5650.
“The Elements of Enchantment: Air, Fire, Earth, Water” exhibit

Lighting up Red Hills Desert Garden
Red Hills Desert Garden will transform into a winter wonderland with thousands of holiday lights and display Thursday at 5:30 p.m. This event is free and open to the public. Visit Washington County Water Conservancy District for more information.
Brigham’s Playhouse presents “It’s A Wonderful Life”
Brigham’s Playhouse presents the original musical version of “It’s A Wonderful Life” Thursday through Saturday at 7 p.m. with a Saturday matinee at 2 p.m. This theatrical performance will play through Dec. 31. Ticket prices are $23 for adults, $21 for seniors, and $17 for children 5–17 and students (with valid student ID). Children under 5 years old are not permitted. Art Insights presentation with Pixar’s Dan Holland
Dan Holland, an animator for Pixar Animation Studios, will present an artist talk at the Southern Utah Museum of Art Thursday at 7 p.m. Admission is free, and the general public is invited to attend. Holland’s Art Insights presentation will cover his personal inspiration, design philosophy, and method as well as what it takes to collaborate with a team of artists.
Embrace The Power of Impact
Southern Utah University’s Department of Theatre Arts and Dance presents an evening full of exquisite choreography with an original student-choreographed dance concert. Performances will be held in the Randall L. Jones Theatre in Cedar City, Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m. with a Saturday matinee performance at 2 p.m. Ticket prices are $10 for adults and $5 for youth. Admission is free for SUU faculty, staff, and students with valid IDs. Tickets can be purchased at ShowClix.
Homestead Christmas Market
Spend Friday and Saturday browsing unique handcrafted items at the Homestead Christmas Market at Frontier Homestead State Park in Cedar City. This event begins Friday at 11 a.m. and closes Saturday at 4 p.m. Event themes include folk music, original arts, traditional crafts, Western traditions, seasonal/traditional foods, and historic American Christmas. Z-Arts Gala featuring Harry O and Friends
Celebrate the season with wine, dinner, and dancing to the sounds of “Oysters Rockefeller” at this years’ annual Z-Arts Gala, Friday at 6 p.m. The gala will be held at Switchback/Jack’s Sports bar in Springdale. Feed Christmas Concert 2016

Visit the only Year-Round Farmer’s Market in Utah, a real farmers market that sells only locally produced and grown fruit, vegetables, jam, bread, and other farm products. Mayhem In Mesquite
Mayhem in Mesquite X begins Saturday at 7 p.m. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Anyone under the age of 3 will not be permitted. Ticket stubs will permit free entry into the show’s after-party featuring a performance by Rebel Soul. The after-party is a 21-and-older event. ID’s are required.
