Wednesday, February 3 at 12 pm, at the Courtyard Marriott, St. George Mayor, Jon Pike, will give his second annual “State of the City” address surrounding the theme “More Happening Ahead.”
Mayor Pike will present St. George City’s five year action plan outlining specific areas the city will improve upon by 2021. These include upgrading transportation and roads to lower traffic and prepare for future growth and continued public safety. Additional upgrades include adding more fire stations along with implementing an online citizen reporting form. Improvements to infrastructure and water treatment facilities, and the continued dedication to the arts, parks, and outdoor recreation areas are also in the plan. In addition the mayor will discuss plans for economic development and a new face of St. George city online.
“More Happening Ahead” speaks to the projects and people carrying the City of St. George forward. As an organization, the City of St. George has a lot to be proud of and look forward to.
