The St. George Police Department is requesting the public’s help in identifying a man who is wanted for questioning as a suspect in a sexual assault case. The alleged assault was committed on Wednesday, Sept. 16, between the hours of noon and 2:15 p.m. Today the St. George Police Department released the following additional image of the sexual assault suspect on their Facebook page.
Leads have been developing and information is being investigated, but the public’s help is being requested. The suspect needs to be identified. He is reportedly driving a Mazda 626. The year is unknown.
This particular case is disturbing to local law enforcement agencies due to the fact that the victim of the sexual assault is a vulnerable adult who was driven from the area close to her residence to other locations where the assault occurred. According to the press release from the St. George Police Department, the suspect in the sexual assault case took advantage of the diminished capacities of the victim.
St. George Police Detective Dunbar is investigating the sexual assault. Any and all information relating to the subject and or information would be very much appreciated. Please direct calls to Detective Dunbar at (435) 627-4328. If the information is time sensitive and Detective Dunbar is not in his office please contact dispatch at (435) 627-4300.
