Best Friends Roadhouse fires up its 4th-annual concert series in Kanab May 3, 2025.

From classic country pickin’ to high-energy blues, Saturday nights in Kanab are about to get a whole lot livelier. Best Friends Roadhouse & Mercantile launches its fourth-annual free summer concert series on May 3, transforming the pet-centric hotel’s landscaped lawn at 30 N. 300 W. into the town’s favorite open-air venue. Shows run every Saturday through the last weekend in October: May and June sets play 6–8 PM, July and August slide to a sunset-friendly 7–9 PM, then September and October return to the 6–8 PM groove. Each week features a different regional artist—from returning favorites like River House Band and Ryan Tracey to newcomers sure to become staples—so there’s always a fresh reason to toss a blanket on the grass and tap your toes.

Kicking things off, May’s lineup brings River House Band on May 3, Richard Jewkes on May 10, Ryan Tracey on May 17, Stone Company on May 24 and Tom Bennet on May 31, followed by Eric Sims strumming into June on the 7th.

Director of Visitor Experience Julie Barger sums up the vibe: “We are so excited to kick off our summer music series at the Roadhouse. This always signifies the start of a busy tourism season and a great chance for locals, hotel guests and Kanab visitors to gather together and hear some great tunes, enjoy our beautiful landscaping, play lawn games, purchase Mercantile snacks and beverages or bring a picnic. The music is great, but we’re there for the cute dogs people bring to the concerts too!”

The Roadhouse isn’t just about Saturday sounds. On the last Tuesday of every month a 4 PM Memorial Rock-Painting class invites guests to create keepsakes, while the second Thursday’s 7–8 PM Kitten Bingo delivers prizes, purrs and plenty of feline photo ops. Early risers can find their Zen every Saturday at 9 AM yoga, stretching beneath the red-rock skyline before the evening’s guitar riffs take over.

Admission is free, seating is in open space and parking is plentiful. For lodging, directions or a full calendar, visit bestfriendsroadhouse.org or call 435-644-3400. Pack a chair, leash up the pooch and let the Roadhouse soundtrack your southern Utah summer—now clear through the golden days of October.
