Four graduating art students from SUU will be showcased when the university’s Braithwaite Fine Arts Gallery hosts the Senior BFA Portfolio Exhibition, opening Thursday, Nov. 12, at 7 p.m. and running through Dec. 12. Regular gallery hours are Tuesdays through Saturdays from noon to 7 p.m. Admission is free.

Photographers Lauren Ludlow’s and Line Uhlen’s works are featured in the exhibition as well as the graphic design of Tanner Eddington and Logan Rasmussen.

“Though this Senior Exhibition only features four students, they are a truly talented group whose artistic vision and creative vitality forms their art,” said Jeffrey Hanson, chair of SUU’s Department of Art and Design. “Their potential as artists is enormous and our faculty is deeply proud of the students’ achievements.”

Running in conjunction with the Senior BFA Portfolio Exhibition is Psychedelic Haze, which spotlights the posters for the concerts produced by the legendary Bill Graham and Chet Helms of Family Dog Productions at San Francisco’s historic Fillmore Auditorium, Fillmore West, and Avalon Ballroom. Psychedelic Haze runs at the Braithwaite Fine Arts Gallery Nov. 16 (opening at 4 p.m.) through Dec. 12. Admission is free.

The Braithwaite Fine Arts Gallery’s mission is to exhibit, collect, and preserve historic and contemporary works of art significant to the interior American West. In addition, the gallery hosts art exhibitions that represent the principal artistic styles and periods of world cultures.
