When it comes to SUU’s Art and Design faculty, they are not only top-notch educators and instructors, but they are also remarkable artists as well. The creativity of SUU’s Department of Art and Design Faculty is celebrated in the annual Art and Design Faculty Exhibition. The show opens at the University’s Braithwaite Fine Arts Gallery on Thursday January 15, 2015 at 7pm and runs until Saturday, February 14. The exhibition is open Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 7:00pm.
This breathtaking exhibition features a variety of medium including photography, painting, ceramics, drawing, graphic design, sculpture, quilt art and so much more. The event is free and open to the general public who are encouraged to attend.

Jeffrey Hanson, Chair of SUU’s Department of Art and Design and Associate Professor of Graphic Design, praises this annual showcase. “SUU’s Art and Design faculty is a remarkable collective of artisans who truly mentor our students and are highly creative individuals as well. This exhibition spotlights their art which inspires and encourages the students to explore their own potential. Our faculty members are all accomplished artists whose work has been exhibited in museums and galleries nationally and internationally.”
