Those looking for a special way to celebrate Valentine’s Day won’t want to miss the 16th annual Sweetheart Swing, set for February 14 at the historic Dixie Academy Ballroom, 86 S. Main St. Presented by the St. George Arts Commission and the City of St. George, the event runs from 7 to 10 p.m. and features live music by The Rebel Jazz Band along with Valentine’s sweets and light refreshments.

Now a beloved community tradition, Sweetheart Swing regularly draws a full house of dancers and music lovers. The evening invites couples and friends alike to step onto the ballroom floor for an elegant night of swing dancing in the heart of downtown St. George.

“The Sweetheart Swing is one of the most popular traditions in our community, and always sells out,” said St. George Arts Commission President Ginger Nelson. “Whether you’re a swing-dancing pro, or just love to listen to terrific music, you’re in for an outstanding evening. Our silent auction is also a highlight. If you haven’t planned ahead for the occasion or are looking for something other than the typical dinner and a movie, the Sweetheart Swing is the perfect gift for your sweetheart.”

The 16th annual Sweetheart Swing returns Feb. 14 to the Dixie Academy Ballroom with live music, dancing, and a silent auction supporting local arts programs.
