Switchpoint seeks volunteers
By Kristen Clark
Switchpoint Community Resource Center is in desperate need for volunteers as many of its regular participants leave for the summer months. The areas of greatest need are numerous and include working in the food pantry, cashiering and sorting at the thrift store, and helping in the kitchen to provide meals for up to 80 residents housed in the shelter.
In 2018, the facility served over 4,300 people, of whom more than 1,200 were children, through its emergency food pantry.
