The largest annual multi-sport event in the world for athletes age 50 and over is now accepting registration for team sports. Team Registration is now open for Huntsman World Senior Games. Managers for Basketball, Softball, Volleyball and Soccer can reserve their team’s space in the Games now.
“We’ve had a tradition for the past several years to open team registration on January 1,” said Kyle M Case, Games CEO. “It’s a quick turn-around for us, but there are teams every year that wait up late on New Year’s Eve to register.”
Team registration reserves a place in the tournament for that team and provides a unique team number for mangers to distribute among their team members. On March 1, 2015, team members, along with all individual sport competitors can register as athletes. Those wishing to compete on a team will need to enter the unique team number in order to be tied to that team.
The registration deadline for both teams and individual athletes is September 1, 2015.
“We anticipate hitting our participation cap for both Softball and Volleyball, so managers won’t want to delay their registration,” added Rosey Rosander, the Director of Sports for the Games.
