Equipped with a passion for health, and a palette for flavor, Chef Cameron Payne brings you the Twisted Noodle Café. An ‘everything anyone could want’ restaurant, The Twisted Noodle Cafe has got everything: vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and all your traditional meals to boot and the grand opening is Martin Luther King Day, Monday, Jan. 19.
Chef Cameron worked for Wolfgang Puck, Beliggo, Wynn Resorts and has been the Corporate Chef with Biggest Loser Resorts, for the last 7 years. Now he wants to make his gastronomic contribution to St. George. Why St George? The landscape and weather serve as an immaculate backdrop for marathons, triathlons, gyms, hiking and bike trails, so it seems only appropriate that there be a cuisine establishment which shares the philosophy that food is fuel.
The Twisted Noodle is a refreshing new hub for healthy, affordable and delicious meals that will operate in the heart of St. George. Twisted Noodle promises to excite the senses from delectable health-conscience entrees, to the more indulgent options. Twisted Noodle’s diverse menu covers the full spectrum ranging from Southwestern to Oriental and has a packed menu that includes pastas, wraps, sautee bowls, and flatbread sandwiches, not to mention a salad section.
Twisted Noodle is a long-awaited type of restaurant in St. George. It focuses its efforts toward accommodating vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and other foods that support a healthy lifestyle. So what about the noodles? Choose from whole wheat, gluten free, traditional or veggie noodles. Then, choose to keep any accompaniments vegan, or give in to a more traditional pasta dish tossed in creamy pesto from scratch, with all the not-so-healthy fixings. So there are your noodles, with a twist.
Vegans will rejoice at the options available to them. From hummus flatbread, black bean burger, quinoa bowls and grilled tofu, to name a few favorites featured on this fresh, the eclectic menu will delight your tastebuds. Yes, health-food with flavors to savour and something for just about everyone. For example, there’s even a Classic lean-mean burger on brioche bun, house-made gourmet chips and yes, soda and energy drinks are available, just in case you want to indulge a little.
Twisted Noodle will also offer healthy meal to-go options for the busy-bodies or workaholics that don’t have enough time to cook but want to lead healthy lives at home. Online to-go menus at twistednoodlecafe.com are available and ready to order, pick-up, then simply reheat at your convenience. Also, call and ask about delivery and catering to bring something new to your next party, fitness or business gathering.
All in all, The Twisted Noodle will strive to bring a fresh perspective to the foods we eat in St. George, by supporting healthy alternative brands, sustainable food sources and producing affordable, wholesome entrees. Check out this unique cafe on 20 N Main Street where you can see the green and purple sign hung on the giant brick column. The sign declares, “Healthy Eats”, and resembles a stamp of approval for delicious and nourishing meals.
