Fair season is in full swing, and Southern Utah is serving up not just one, but three amazing county fairs this year! From goats and quilt shows to demolition derbies and Dutch oven cook-offs, the Garfield, Kane, and Iron County Fairs offer the kind of family-friendly fun that only rural Utah can deliver. Each one is packed with new events and long-standing traditions that highlight the spirit and talent of their communities. Here’s a full rundown, in order of when they happen, so you can hit them all if you’re feeling adventurous!

Garfield County Fair: August 2–9 – Panguitch, Utah
The first to kick off the season, the Garfield County Fair brings a whole week of small-town charm and time-honored fun to the Triple C Arena, located just north of Panguitch on Highway 89. Running August 2 through August 9, this fair has something for everyone—from families looking for entertainment to locals ready to show off their best livestock, pies, and produce.
Fan favorites return: water ball walkers, the fish grab, baby contest, bingo, and cornhole are all back. The junior talent show is also making its return to the stage. New for 2025 is a “Horse Fun Day” on Friday, August 8 at 5 PM, adding an extra opportunity for kids and horse lovers alike to participate.
Saturday closes things out with the Commissioner’s Dinner, awards drawings, and the Muddy Boots Summer Dance. Be sure to come hungry—there’s a Dutch oven cook-off and a delicious barbecue dinner that night too.

Throughout the week you’ll find team roping, Lego contests, inflatables, indoor exhibits, and the Junior Livestock Show and Auction—always a heart of the event. Pre-register entries by Monday, August 4 at 6 PM on their website for more info, call 435-676-1113 or check out the Garfield County Fair Facebook page at or the facebook page.

Kane County Fair: August 2 & August 6–9 – Orderville, Utah
Just a short drive down scenic Highway 89, the Kane County Fair in Orderville continues the celebration August 2 and August 6–9, with the opening rodeo on the 2nd and the full fair experience beginning again on the 6th. This year marks the 79th year of the fair, which traces its roots back to local FFA students and a humble hog sale in the 1940s.

That small event eventually expanded into a full county fair in 1948, and it hasn’t looked back. Events now take place between the Carroll Arena and the Kane County North Event Center, where locals come together to celebrate agriculture, youth, art, and family.
This year’s fair features livestock shows, arts and crafts, quilt and flower displays, and classic fair food. You’ll also see a parade, a dance, and expanded categories for visual arts, produce, and homemade goods. The Long Valley Stock Show is a staple of the event, showcasing the hard work of local youth raising pigs, steers, goats, and more.
The Kane County Fair is a tribute to community effort, creativity, and tradition. Everyone—from local families and volunteers to young first-time exhibitors—helps make it all happen. So come on out and support YOUR fair!

Major events start early with the Demolition Derby on August 16 and the Mud Bog on August 23, both drawing big crowds and offering thousands in cash prizes. Pageant lovers won’t want to miss the Miss Iron County competition on August 9, and talent seekers will find plenty to cheer for at Iron County’s Got Talent on August 30.
