A nationwide celebration marking America’s 250th birthday will officially kick off in Mesquite this January, as CasaBlanca Resort & Casino hosts the Opening Weekend Celebration of the U.S. 250 Tour from Friday, Jan. 9, through Sunday, Jan. 11, 2026.
The free, three-day festival launches a 50-state tour leading into the United States Semiquincentennial in 2026 and invites families and community members to take part in a large-scale patriotic experience centered on history, education, and live entertainment.
CasaBlanca’s outdoor event grounds will be transformed into Freedom Village, an immersive festival environment designed to bring American history to life. Throughout the weekend, guests can explore colonial-era demonstrations, artisan workshops, historical reenactors, and Kids America educational activities. Additional features include classic cars displayed along Main Street U.S.A. and a rare opportunity to view a first-edition written copy of the Declaration of Independence.
The event will also debut the Hall of Heroes hologram museum, showcasing interactive, life-size holograms of influential figures who helped shape the nation’s history.
Country music legends Shenandoah are scheduled to perform during the Opening Weekend Celebration, bringing well-known hits including “Church on Cumberland Road,” “Two Dozen Roses,” and “Next to You, Next to Me.” Additional national and regional performers will be announced in the coming weeks.
Across all three days, the festival will include live entertainment with national acts and local performers, patriotic shows, flyovers, veteran tributes, and nightly musical programming. Family-friendly activities will range from hands-on crafts and games to historic exhibits and interactive learning stations. A full festival atmosphere rounds out the experience with food trucks, a beer garden, artisan markets, reenactor demonstrations, and costumed Founding Father photo opportunities.
VIP after-parties hosted at CasaBlanca Resort & Casino will feature cocktails, specialty entertainment, and exclusive programming for ticketed guests.
Opening Weekend hours are Friday, Jan. 9 from 3–9 PM, Saturday, Jan. 10 from 10 AM–9 PM, and Sunday, Jan. 11 from 11 AM–6 PM.
Following its launch in Mesquite, the U.S. 250 Tour will continue across the country with large-scale celebrations, educational initiatives, and community events in all 50 states, honoring the history, heritage, and spirit of America as it reaches its 250-year milestone.
