Entertainment, Tradition, and Community Take Center Stage at the 2025 Washington County Fair
Southern Utah’s most anticipated springtime event is back—the Washington County Fair returns to Legacy Park from April 11 to 19, bringing a full week of celebration, entertainment, and community pride. With its perfect mix of thrilling attractions, hometown spirit, and family-friendly fun, this year’s fair promises to be one for the books.
Concerts That Will Have You Slipping On Your Boots! Music lovers are in for a treat with two major headline concerts plus a variety of live performances throughout the week. First up, Lonestar—the award-winning country band behind hits like “Amazed,” “No News,” and “I’m Already There”—will take the stage on Monday, April 14. Then on Wednesday, April 16, Lee Greenwood delivers a powerful performance anchored by his timeless patriotic anthem, “God Bless the USA.”
The main stage will also host local artists and regional bands, ensuring there’s never a dull moment. Whether you’re into high-energy country, heartfelt ballads, or foot-tapping Americana, there’s something for everyone at this year’s fair.
Rodeo Nights & Derby Mayhem Highlights! The fair’s roots run deep in Western culture, and two nights of rodeo on April 11 and 12 keep that tradition alive. Held in the large outdoor arena and presented by the Rocky Mountain Professional Rodeo Association, spectators will be treated to heart-pounding events including bull riding, barrel racing, and roping competitions. Gates open at 5:30 PM, and the action kicks off at 7 PM.
Then it’s time to trade horses for horsepower at the ever-popular Demolition Derby, set for Saturday, April 19. Expect crumpled metal, roaring engines, and roaring crowds. Tickets are $30 in advance or $35 at the gate, not including the standard $3 fair admission.
A Parade For Celebration: Wave your flags and cheer on your neighbors at the Annual Fair Parade, stepping off at 9 AM on Saturday, April 12, in downtown St. George. This year’s theme, “Celebrating Our Nation,” promises floats, music, and performances honoring American pride. Participant check-in begins at 7:30 AM on Tabernacle Street.
Carnival & Family Fun
No fair is complete without a classic carnival, and this year’s is better than ever. Open select hours throughout the week (see full schedule below), it features everything from gentle kiddie rides to adrenaline-pumping thrill rides. Don’t miss Family Nights on April 15–16, when all rides are just $2!
Other attractions include the Animal Education Center & Petting Zoo, delicious food trucks, artisan booths, the Beer Garden, and various interactive exhibits that celebrate local agriculture, crafts, and culture.
The fair also features fun community contests for all ages starting with the Baby Contest – April 20 at 10:30 AM | Kids Cookie Contest – April 20 at 11 AM | Fresh Salsa Contest – April 20 at 2:30 PM
Also on display are literary showcases, youth talent exhibitions, pageants, and more—giving community members a chance to shine.
End Each Night with a Bang! Don’t leave early—fireworks displays will light up the sky on April 12, 13, and 19 at 10 PM, delivering the perfect grand finale to your day at the fair.
General Admission is just $3 (ages 13+), $2 (ages 3–12) & parking is free.
